Beautiful for walking or for mountain-biking. The paths through the narrow rock passages are very impressive. You need a torch, as parts are completely dark!

We chose a short 3 km trail due to lack of time and since we really wanted to see natures own labyrinth. The trail was amazing. Beautiful views, huge rocks, caves and pure nature’s beauty at it’s best. Would go again with my teenage kids,...More

I started in Berdorf and ended in Echternach. I’d post pictures but they really don’t give the beauty any justice. It was amazing. I only had a quick day and then had to head out but I could have spent my entire vacation here.

Not sure why this is rated as Difficult on Mullerthal website now. It is at max of average difficulty if you don't like a couple of stairs. Not wheelchair accessible.

Last weekend Lux. was hit by an extraordinary nature catastrophy! Thunderstorms and unbelievable quantity of rain destroyed part of the "Müllertal"! Actually the trail is closed for at least 1 month :(( Check also the roads which are closed if you travel by car.

To the best of my knowledge each route is 37-38 km long and route 2 is somewhat more difficult than 1 and 3. It is possible to do each one of them in a day but we are talking strenuous long, long hike. Best is to plan a... More

I would just choose a part of the trail and opt for relatively flat surface. There are many such suitable fragments of trails depending where you want to start.

Where to go in Mullerthal (4 Replies)
Hello I will be visiting Luxembourg in april. I would like to make a day trip to Mullerthal region. The question is, I can't decide where to go! So the most important thing to me is to see the best of Mullerthal trail (preferably route 3). So I was wondering if it was possible to travel to one town with a bus, walk through the trail to another town and then take a bus back to Luxembourg? I would love to spend the whole day in Mullerthal region. The trail is the most important part...More

Mullerthal Trail Map (3 Replies)
I'm planning on hiking parts of the Mullerthal Trail this summer with my husband. I am aware you can get a nicely detailed map at the visitor centers in the region of the trail. Is there any way to have them mail me a copy of the map or buy it somewhere else? I'd like to take time to study it before hand. Also, is there a version with an English key? Looks like English wasn't really an option. Thanks! I've emailed their info address but am waiting for a response.

Mullerthal Trail (3 Replies)
Hello! My husband, 3 year old daughter and I will be in Luxembourg for two days in August. The pictures of the Mullerthal trail took our breath away and we would really like to visit the region if we can. For those of you who have visited, can the trails be covered with a small child? Which trail do you suggest we do? As we are staying in Luxembourg City, would we be able to visit the region and get back in the evening using public transport? (Buses?) Thanks!
