The castle is situated on the hill overlooking Larochette. The walk up there via the footpath is a bit steep and only advisable if you can walk well. There is a car park at the top of the hill. A ticket doesn't cost an awful lot. Drinks can be bought at the entrance as well. There is a little seating... More

Lovely castle very well maintained to its current state. Fabulous views from different parts of the site. Very peaceful. It is a little uneven underfoot leading to various different levels. I am unsure that it would be easily accessible for people with walking disabilities...maybe allow enough time at a quiet part of the day and it would be manageable. The... More

We had a walk up to the castle from Larocette centre. It is a bit of a climb and the way we went certainly needed decent footwear and would not be suitable for pushchairs or anyone with walking difficulties. The castle ruins are interesting and we enjoyed an hour or so walking round and exploring and looking at the gardens.... More

The walk upto this castle is as rewarding as the castle itself. You go through woodland along a marked path and you get to see lovely views over the town as you climb. Its a safe and fairly easy climb, there is no need to be worried. The castle itself is very beautiful, mostly in ruins but the main part... More

I'm so glad that my family and I came across this castle while traveling through Luxembourg. I love that you can go explore so much of it. The inside of the castle is very interesting and I love how there are pictures of what use to be in the rooms. I highly recommend stopping here!

My friend and I embarked on a castle road-trip last week and had added Larochette Castle to our list at the last minute. Thank goodness we did because we both ranked it as our favourite! We love castle ruins, but we had no idea how big this site would be, that the views would be gorgeous, that the price was... More

This place is great for young kids to explore as the site itself is huge with many ruins and part walls. They have lovely gardens which not only look beautiful for grown ups but have lost of hidden garden ornaments for kids to find. Fantastic views of the village below from which can walk up from or drive from. The... More

During our stay in Lachorette we went to visit the castle. It's possible to walk to the castle from the center of Lachorette or go by car. The castle, and remains of the castle, is a nice and interesting place to visit. There's a possibility to get a tour if you book it on forehand. It is not neccesary to... More
