Nice castle to visit but in great weathter because everything is outdoor. The castle is more like a ruin. We visited on a cold and snowy day and though it was beautiful it would be nicer in great weather, also for the view from the donjon. Nice price and You'll get a automatic guide with You that You can install... More

One of the first Castles that I visited when I moved to Luxembourg. So impressed! Not a lot to see on the inside, but such a calm and peaceful setting!

You must pay 10 euro for the visit (family ticket) and are given a recorded device for explaining the different places of the Castle. The narration is slow and sometimes boring. When you are traveling with children it is simply not possible to keep the thing attached to your ear. A guide would be better but was not available. The... More

Fantastic castle ruin, parts of which have been restored. It stands high above the Sure river valley and the views are stunning. The audio tour is interesting for the adults and a source of amusement for the teens. Both teens and pre-teens just loved the drama of exploring the ruins. Not a destination for anyone with mobility issues as there... More

A "must see" location if you like castles - the area around Bourscheid is very picturesque and worthy of the twisting drive to get there.

The core of castle Bourscheid was built around the year 1000 in replacement of an older wooden fortification. The castle was enlarged around 1250 and again around 1350, when the great enclosure with eight towers was erected. Thus a new (lowest) court was created where the vassals of the landlord lived. The architectural evolution of the castle was finalized by... More

This is a ruined castle, but a big one. The view from the top of the tower is magnificent, you can see the entire valley. One of the buildings has been renovated, you can see some of the history of the castle there. And some drawings by Victor Hugo.
