We toured the abbey in town and stopped at the local pub. They suggested we visit the race track which also has golf course. First for early viesevening drinks to enjoy the view. Two days later we were back for horse racing. Lots of locals.

Horse track in the country near Gowran. There is also a golf course here with a few holes inside the oval track. The town of Gowran has a nice friendly pub, sandwich shop/deli, and historical abbey.
