We were referred to Yrette by a friend. We spent a wonderful afternoon learning and experiencing the Hummingbird in a most unique and comfortable setting. Our hosts were most gracious! The tea was excellent, too. But the birds themselves, the amazing photography and the wealth of information presented with such natural ease ... that was the highlight!

This is a very different type of activity. Its at someone's house! But, this is a visit you will not regret. There are literally 100's of hummingbirds buzzing around and if you move slowly cant get very close to them. You can ask questions to your hearts content and the information provided by the host is really interesting. I initially... More

I love hummingbirds and this was part my birthday celebration is Trinidad. Getting there had step hills and some rough roads but it was 100% worth it. We got there for the 8:30 am tour and were pleasantly surprised to be the only visitors there. We got to eat a light local breakfast with the hummingbirds which was so amazing,... More

This attraction is not easy to find but it's hosts offer you great service in booking your tour and provide detailed directions so it's worth the tyre rubber you burn to get there. You get a meal/tea with your tour which is lovely and the photos and actual lecture from Dr Fergusson and hospitality of his wife make it so... More

Enjoyed a splendid time today learning about all-things hummingbird at Yerette. The birds are dazzling, bold, and present in amazing numbers. Theo presents eloquently about the birds, and the backdrop is the "Live Show" of hundreds of hummers coming to feed. I learned a lot today while enjoying beautiful photography, humor, a delicious tea, and gorgeous birds.

This was a little paradise tucked away in Maracas Valley St. Joseph. I was invited for a kids tea party but we all learnt about the many species of Humming Birds both internationally and in our sweet little Island of T&T. There were also souvenirs available, beautiful pictures of various species of humming birds.

My husband and I visited Yerette as part of a birding trip and really enjoyed our time here. Theo Ferguson is very hospitable and knowledgeable about hummingbirds. In addition, he is passionate about spreading the word about these amazing creatures. There is a slide show of some of his amazing photography and a small gift shop.

Yerette is a sanctuary for hummingbirds and visitors enjoy an atmosphere of tranquility and beauty and wonderful hospitality. Dr Fergueson is a storehouse of information about these birds and this really gives a context as you view these amazing birds.

We booked our visit via e-mail and received our confirmation and directions via e-mail very promptly. Be advised that the directions to the place may appear difficult to follow but the place is far easier to find. The drive is steep in places and you are encouraged to carpool because of limited parking. This is a private residence turned tourist... More
