My husband and I rented a tandem kayak from Out Island Explorer's during our recent trip to Exuma. Dallas is one of the best/fastest communicators when trying to plan details of a trip. He not only answered my many questions quickly, he was also extrememly fair with prices. I will definitely do business with Out Island Explorer's again on my next trip to Exuma later this year. Thank you for everything!

After having a bad experience with another all-day charter company, we decided to look for something a little more low key and came across Out Island Explorers. They are a family run business with over-the-top customer service and professionalism. We were lucky enough to have the whole family come on the trip so we got to meet the whole gang! My husband needed a little extra help getting in and out of the boat due to a past injury and they were more then helpful and patient with us. We went to three different snorkel spots, got to walk on a sandbar and went to Starfish beach to see huge starfish. Such a fun day! Not only would I highly recommend booking a trip with them, you will leave feeling blessed just for meeting them.

Dallas and his son Joss were perfect guides and flexed to what they knew we’d enjoy and answered all of our questions. I booked late and Dallas reached out to let me know there weather was going to bring in wind on Friday and suggested we move it to Thursday - made our trip. The sand bar, the star fish, sting rays, the snorkeling and so much more along with good information and tips on what else to see and do. It was relaxing and fun - just what we wanted. And every where you go on the island, folks know Dallas and his family. Good people and open to questions and requests.

3 of us reserved our Sandy Cay trip with Dallas many months before arriving on Exuma. We communicated several times since then as our scheduled date approached and we confirmed the day of the trip. Dallas met us at the Govt dock on time and after introductions we soon settled onto his boat for an amazing Sandy Cay adventure. The excursion did not disappoint in any way: it was just the right amount of time in each location with several stops. We stopped first at a sandbar before getting to Sandy Cay. Both were among the prettiest sites our group had collectively ever seen. The pictures (taken with the cameras on our cellular phones) do not necessarily do them justice however. The oolitic sand was a treat that my DW and SIL could not stop talking about. Then we made stops at Pigeon Cay and Guana Cay reef. The latter 2 stops gave us a chance to snorkle and do some beachcombing for shells. I was happy to get a chance to see several flamingo tongue snails during the stop at Pigeon Cay. I also enjoyed my first encounter with an ocean triggerfish while at Guana Cay Reef. Dallas was informative, amiable and patient. We only wish we had had extra time during our trip to book a snorkle only expedition with him.

We booked a half-day snorkeling trip for eight people and were greeted by Dallas and his son who were very friendly and personable. Unfortunately, we got off to quite a bad start. We were told the trip would take and extra thirty minutes because we had to refuel to make sure we had enough fuel to last the trip, which wasn't ideal as this is usually done before passengers get on for a trip like this. However, halfway to the place to refuel we ran out of gas! We drifted for a bit and luckily were towed to the side by another boat that happened to be passing by. We moored to the side of a car park and had to wait for Dallas' wife to bring fuel so we could move again. Again, Dallas and his son were very friendly and nice but by the time his wife arrived to refuel at least 30min had passed and we still needed to go to the original fuelling place so we could fill the tank fully... another lengthy delay to the trip! We decided to leave at this point as it was too late to start our trip and sitting and watching a boat refuel wasn't exactly what we had envisaged. We understand that the fuel gauge on the boat was broken, so Dallas didn't know it was running out, but we're not sure why for a trip we had booked in advance he didn't make sure to fill up before we arrived, especially given he knew the gauge was broken and the boat clearly hadn't been filled in a while (as it ran out after 10min of driving...). Disappointing trip but bumped up a star due to friendliness of Dallas and his son.
