    Highlight of our trip!
We rented a small boat from Minn’s and it was such a good time! The reservation was simple to make and the office is very responsive to email inquiries. We arrived around 11am and found plenty of parking, friendly and helpful staff members, and they take Covid-19 precautions very seriously. (Only one person is allowed inside when signing the waivers, hand sanitizer, masks, etc.) The boat was in good condition and all safety checks are performed before you’re allowed to proceed. If you’ve never driven a boat, don’t worry because Minn’s will explain everything you need to know in order to have a safe and fun experience. The boats are very easy to operate and come with all the necessary safety stuff. They’ll provide ice for your cooler if needed, too. The harbor is HUGE and there are so many great points to stop off and explore. You’re given a map marked with various points of interest, including places to stop and snorkel, beaches, restaurants. There’s no feeling like being on a boat in the middle of that sparkling clear turquoise water. It’s simply breathtaking. We stopped over at Stocking Island to swim with the stingrays, walked the most beautiful (and secluded) beaches, and got a bite to eat. We had such a great time we reserved another boat two days later. I recommend bringing sunscreen, towels, snorkel gear, sunglasses, underwater camera, and a cooler. Water shoes aren’t needed because the sand is powder fine, but recommended if you plan on exploring Stocking Island. There’s also a small shop where gear can be purchased. Looking forward to visiting Exuma again... next time we’ll bring the kids.

    Family boat rental
We rented a boat for nine people for two days. The boat worked very well, we enjoyed hanging out on the sandbar the most. We stopped at Chat and chill show and had a great time feeding the stingrays and enjoyed lunch there. The second day we ate at the snappy turtle which I would definitely recommend strongly. They provided coolers on the boat and we were able to purchase ice for five dollars a bag at the marina. This is one of the highlights of our trip

    See Exuma from the Harbor
We picked the best weather day of our week and reserved a boat 2 days in advance. The smaller boats were booked up so we rented a 19' Power Cat. It has 1 padded bench, a few no pad seats, and a huge area at the bow to lie down on your stomach. We also rented a captain. There are guys hanging around asking if we needed a boat captain. They don't all have the license. We went with the front desk lady's brother, Nathaniel. He was perfect! Knowledgeable about boats, the harbor, the tides and weather on our day. Everything we asked to see, plus more than we knew to ask for he showed us. Sunning on secluded beaches? We visited around 8!. Sandbar walking in the middle of the harbor? His timing was perfect. Floating on a private, 'lazy river'? Yes! Stopping to feed stingrays on another beach is a popular adventure. Turtle Bay where the green turtles approach your boat expectantly was my favorite spot. We didn't want to snorkle or fish or swim with the sea creatures, so I cannot speak to that. We had already chosen our lunch spot from several places reachable by boat, but he can tell you the options. We bought his lunch on top of paying his fee because we wanted to. We took our own water and bought daquiris at 2 stops. All in all we decided that was our favorite day in Exuma. We could have gone to many of those stops on our own, but not all of them. And we did not stress at all over the wind or the chop or the tides.

The day we rented a boat was one of our favorite days of our vacation. It had been a while since I drove a boat but the staff gave me a refresher course and we were off and running. This is a fantastic way to experience the Bahamas, sand bars, isolated beaches and great fishing and snorkeling spots your only limitation is your imagination. Great comparable pricing, the boats are a little older but in good shape and we had no issues on the day of our rental

Minns is kind of the only show in town if you want to rent boats to take out on your own on Exuma but where a monopoly sometimes means bad service, this is absolutely not the truth with Minns! They are wonderful people who take great care of their customers. They will give you as much information as you want or need and while they are protective of their boats, they allow those with experience to have a little latitude. We rented from them six or seven weeks over the years and never had a problem with one of their boats or dealing with the staff. What more can you ask!

The island is amazing but we decided this time we'd explore a little more by water and Minn's boats are perfect for this. Clean, super friendly staff and helpful. Would highly recommend you have some knowledge of boating, current, tides, etc. Just smart boating.

We rented a boat from Minns 2 different days while we were in Exuma, and both times were well worth the money. Everyone working there is helpful and nice. They show send you with maps and emergency equipment in case something happens. They give you a quick lesson before you head out, so even a novice boater should be ok. Check out all the islands up and down the bay. You need to 100% stop at Chat N’ Chill and the sandbar near Man-O-War Cay at low tide. There is also a path at Starfish Beach to hike over Stocking Island over to the Atlantic side of the island. There is a range of boat sizes for any size group and I think they are all or mostly Boston Whalers.

My wife and I reserved a boat about 2 months out from our visit. We had a private taxi drop us off. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We rented the 17ft Whaler which was perfect for just the two of us. They give you a cooler and a bag of ice for any drinks you bring, along with maps of the harbor. We brought our own blue tooth speaker and snorkel gear. The harbor was easy to navigate around with the map, I highly recommend Man O War Cay it was out of this world. We got the boat around 9 and had it back by 4:30. It was enough time to see everything but could have defiantly stayed out longer had we been able to. Boats are due back before 5. I would do this again in a heart beat. Chat N Chill was awesome.

We love renting Minns boats. They are so easy to work with, and having a boat allows us to explore places we can’t get to by car, including the St. Francis, Chat n Chill, and Peace n Plenty’s Beach club. We found a secluded little beach to hang out on, and one of our guys caught a nice fish near there. Low tide was supposed to be around 5:30, so we went to Man o War sandbar last and enjoyed a nice walk there (boats are due back by 5 pm). Maximum people per boat is 8. They open at 9am. They give you a map that shows some snorkel spots and other sights. Full tank of gas to start, and you pay for the gas you use. Boats are whalers with a Bimini top, ladder on the back if needed. You also get a walkie talkie in your “toolbox”. Definitely a highlight for us!

Coming to Great Exuma for many years, and visiting Minn’s Watersports is always part of our trip. Staff is friendly and helpful. Boats are all clean and in good condition, safe. Boating areas are well mapped out for safety. So many beautiful sights, restaurants to visit by boat, activities like snorkeling, diving, swimming or relaxing. This is a must-do for anyone who loves the beautiful blue waters of Exuma. Enjoy!

Reasonable costs for a small boat to rent. I never even captained a boat and had no trouble at all with the 15 foot boat. Make sure you book months in advance. They book up quickly. Nice way to explore Elizabeth Harbour. Don't miss this.

Great place to rent a boat-- super low key and easy to rent from. We had a great time in a much smaller than we were thinking boat... lots of laughing. But even on a day with some wind and rainy weather, our boat was perfectly fine in the harbor. The sand bar was our favorite destination. Just stunning.

Minns is an Exuma staple. Super easy, incredibly personable staff. This is a must do while in Exuma. Only word of advice…if they offer to let you out of your rental because of wind-do it. Why? The boats themselves are not good. They’re small, old, and beaten up. They don’t handle the waves well. Otherwise, if the weather is good, enjoy the “other side of the island”!
