Not the old sense of authenticity

Lovely boat trip from the old harbor and they have really stepped up at the beach. Good sunbeds, better restaurant – but also a lot more expensive. In my mind it’s overpriced, and that rustic feeling is lost. Good, but almost too much and too expensive.

visiting with Privé Cruises & Sea Transfers. A day trip you need to do with this boat rental Company. Just search for Prive and book your private boat trip!

Have been going to the island and this beautiful beach for over 30 years and won’t be going again, unless and until the clowns running the beach bar are removed!

Yes the beach is amazing but you can’t really enjoy it because of the atmosphere at the bar and that’s why can only give it a 1

As has been said by many the music was crazy loud and incessant from midday, so much so the overpriced sun beds were rocking (€30 unlike €10 everywhere else on Skiathos )
Add to that rude staff and disgusting food

The beach now seems to have gone from peaceful, relaxing, families and couples destination to a self indulgent, rip off for a few drunk teenagers!

If you do brave it then suggest you walk through the pine trees to the beautiful little church on the rocks and pray that we might get our beach back!

A fantastic beach on an island not far from Skiathos city. You have to take a 30 minute boat ride from the bay in the city, but it is worth it. If you have special demands for food, it could be wise to bring some. The taverna at the beach have been heavily upgraded since my last visit 3 years ago, but their food menu have gone the other way. That may change for the next season.

An amazing beach to spend the day at...stunning! People looking after the sunbeds could do a much better job tidying up rubbish and emptying previous peoples ashtrays etc but other than that...a stunning setting, water and day trip....

Magnificent beach!

Magnificent beach, cristal clear waters and amazing views. The sun beds are very comfortable but expensive. The front row is 25 Euros for 2, second row 20, 3rd row 15. There are only 3 kinds of sanwiches and Greek salad (without cheese- they stress this when you order), which are ok but expensive. The service is good. The music is loud and the toilets are dirty. I suggest you take your food with you. If you don’t want to use the sunbeds, there are trees at the back for shade.

Beautiful beach but beware of the bar - bring your own food

Gorgeous beach but being your own food and drink or eat first, as beach bar food is terrible and a rip off. Ham and cheese toasties are sold as club sandwiches, and there is no menu (about four options that your waiter tells you) and no prices until you come to pay. They have tried to make it very fancy but you just end up feeling ripped off.

Island and beach are beautiful - be aware you have to pay for sunbeds and parasol (15euro for two is cheapest) and there is very little natural shade.

If the bar had been either cheap and cheerful or actually good quality food it would have left a better taste in the mouth - rather than indigestion from a sliced white bread and processed cheese and ham monstrosity. Staff are pretty indifferent to you.

Bring your own picnic and enjoy a beautiful bay.

no more hidden gem

great place for a beach, with a small beach pub
unfortunately a little crowded as everyone heard about the “hidden gem”
unfortunately the beach pub run out of supplies quite fast
remain to enjoy the view, the sun and the sea

Worst beach bar/restaurant I’ve ever experienced

Beautiful beach, dreadful beach bar/restaurant. We ordered food, waited 2 hours for it, with no apology, then were told we couldn’t have any food, due to “kitchen issues”. Worst service I have ever experienced at a beach bar. The staff were standing around, drinking and smoking and on their phones. They couldn’t care less. Appalling when you are trapped there with nowhere else to eat or drink. Total exploitation of those visiting.

Absolutely loved our time at this place with my girlfriend. The music, food and environment was perfect for a day out at the beach.

The beach and sea are amazing with the staff at the beach bar being so tentative and helpful.

Forget about the bad reviews from people like pinacolada53, it couldn’t be further from the truth. They would probably complain if the TV is above volume 4 at home.

Must visit.
