My partner and I stopped here during our road trip down Mornington peninsula. You get to pick eat fresh strawberries and also have the choice to relax and grab a snack at the local cafe. Great place to take children during the school holidays aswell. Reasonable priced.

Have been to Sunny Ridge a few times and it's consistent... great strawberries (which is why i go back)... but it is always disorganised chaos and slow service even when they aren't overly busy. Seperate sales areas for u-pick and take-away sales would be a good start.

I have been to sunny ridge on many occasions when it wasn't a public holiday and loved it. Made a mistake of going during peak period. Long queues to order food, got to front of queue and pies/sausage rolls had run out, this was just after midday. While in queue we had used website to determine order only to find the website menu differed from the menu onsite. Then struggled to get seating next to a dog that barked the entire time. Overall suggest visiting on a weekdays during non holiday seasons

Arrived at 10am (opens at 9am) and was told the field was "picked out" even though the website had stated it was open for you pick, I checked before we left home! It hasn't been open for you pick for weeks from what I can tell now from the social media page and poor reviews. Advertising is misleading. The shop had minimal stock of everything compared to other times I've visited over the years I would not recommend. I think it would be better for them to just advertise that you pick is closed due to a bad season of fruit rather than keep telling people to go there and its closed. Luckily we did not travel a very long way.

I am sorry that you could not experience u-pick on your visit. Unfortunately over our peak month (December into January) we experienced a run of cold days and heavy rain and therefore fruit availability was really limited. Growing conditions are best when the weather is consistent and warmer, resulting in more closed days than what we had hoped. We know so many visitors love to come and pick strawberries over summer so we were disappointed by the weather leading up to peak. On a more positive note, we have been open for the last month every day so if you visit again I am sure you will have a great day out.

The service was good, very friendly staff, coffee good. That's about where it ended. The waffles tasted "strange", the toasted sandwiches very dry. Should have butter on both sides of the bread, not even enough butter on one slice. The cheese used on the toasted sandwiches also not nice, probably cheap processed slices. Scones were good but so big. Surely one scone could be sold for $4.50 instead of being forced to but 2 scones for $9 and far too much for one person. If you want to share the scones you need to buy extra jam and cream. Rather a disappointing experience.

We arrived at 11am on Sunday, two adults and two very excited children, after being unable to book online and over an hours drive, to be told that no more people were able to pick as it was overpicked for the day. On observing the field there were a lot of people still picking and plenty of ripe strawberries still available.
There were no outside tables for people to eat take-away food purchased and some people even sitting on the ground next to rubbish bins eating their food. What we experienced on Sunday was really disappointing. I hope that it improves in the future and maybe allow online bookings so others won't be as disappointed as we were.

The fields of Sunny Ridge Strawberry Farm are usually swarming with "do-it-yourself" strawberry pickers in spring. Unfortunately, due to the corrona virus, the farm is temporarily closed. Strawberries are amongst the first berry fruits to ripen in spring. We have visited Sunny Ridge Strawberry Farm several times, picking your own frruit is always good fun. You can still order on-line.

Because of a few bad reviews on here we were initially worried this wouldn’t be worth our time but we are so glad we got to experience the strawberries! We came a bit earlier (10ish) and we headed right to the fields, the strawberries were there waiting for us. So many big ones perfect to be plucked and eaten and my boyfriend and I had a wonderful time plucking about. We had no issues with staff, and the staff we did interact with were very nice to us. After we finished filling our containers we had the fondue with honey comb and the cup of strawberries with the whipped cream, both were delicious and though we were full of the tastiest strawberries we continued to chow down. I can’t wait to recommend this place to everyone I know. 100/10!!!!

Having previously enjoyed a day of picking and eating at Sunny Ridge (albeit pre-COVID) we thought it would be a good idea to head there again and support Regional business. While the strawberry picking was fun, we left on a sour note (pardon the pun) when advised that there were no allergen friendly (GF) menu items on the “reduced menu”.
This would make a lot more sense if it wasn’t advertised on the menu (the reduced menu clearly states that GF and allergen friend meals are available).
Disappointing to leave hungry after such a long drive - although the strawberries helped.

We had the rudest service and was treated so poorly by the staff. Great strawberries but overpriced and not worth the service we had. We were planning to buy a lot more goods and sit down for some food but chose not to. Spend your money elsewhere

It can get very busy with busloads of tourists but this place is on the nose now,its become very dirty, the toilets are disgraceful and not cleaned regularly and the outdoor tables are not cleaned regularly, some staff are rude and not interested and there is always a terrible stench from the sewage ...do yourself a favour and go elsewhere for strawberries

Hi - If I'm there in end October (say 30/31 Oct), will there be any chance that the strawberries will be available for picking?
Sunnyridgestrawb
Main Ridge, Australia
Good morning Baoli,
Thank you for your email.
Traditional strawberry picking is available from Nov - Apirl each year, if the weather is fine, sunny and warm during October then there is a chance to commence picking earlier.
Look forward to seeing you at Sunny Ridge in October for picking hopefully!
Regards
Sunny Ridge
Is there any pick in September?

No it's between November to April but it is still open and you can still buy strawberries.
