Mmmm. Given the review wording above, I am utterly bemused by the rating given and can only assume 'finger trouble'!

Having an interest in Aviation and a late father-in-law that served at Tangmere my husband and I looked forward to our visit and were certainly not disappointed. The devotion of the volunteers that give their time to the museum to remember those that died to...More

Fantastic place to spend a few hours. Wide range of exhibits, not only military. Run by volunteers it is ever so slightly chaotic but that adds to the charm.

I regret that the guide in question was considered over-zealous - a feature of trying a little too hard to be helpful I suspect. It is a shame that we don't know the date of visit so that he or she might be identified and...More

Was a fantastic morning out , the staff were so friendly and gave our two year old a treasure hunt to find the teddy which kept him entertained. Definitely would highly recommend.

Thank you for your kind words. With respect to the limited display of aircraft, we do not purport to be an aircraft museum per se.

As already advised, only assistance dogs are allowed inside the buildings. All dogs are welcome in the Museum's grounds and picnic area, however.

As has been reported, visitors can use the small grassed picnic area at the front of the Museum without the need to purchase food/drink from the cafeteria
