Low tech diving experience but the instructor was extremely kind and patient. Need to read the manual for additional knowledge to pass PADI exam.

I am a Padi dive master. This Dive Center us very unprofessional. 1. I had not prepared to dive on this holiday and left all my dive gear at home. I used the center’s gear. I asked for 7 kg weights, I was given 6 which is not enough. I know exactly how many kg I need not to struggle with an empty Al-tank. 2. When preparing to dive I asked that who is my buddy. The DM said that with annoyance “ there is no buddies and we dive as a group”. One basic rule of diving is to have a buddy, always. 3. There was no gear check up (BWRAF) prior the dive. Visibility was occasionally about 1-2 mt, it was possible to see the rest of the divers’ fins every now and then, occasionally a bit better. The dive was going round a little circle. Don’t waste your time and money with this.

I think, I might have been the first student of Simon for a diving certification (AOWD) within the CDG. I don't think, Simon remembers me after all the time, since it was March 2012. Back then, we were diving close to Ko Rong, while we were located at Ko Rong. It was just a two man show, Simon and Nigel. They organized everything, from pickup, boat transfer, accomodation, etc. It was all a little rough but fun though. With Simon I felt very safe, and that was all that mattered to me. He is a very experienced diver and I would definitely dive with him again, if he is still diving with fun divers. I remember, that I never saw seahorses and I asked him, if we can find one. He didn't give up searching for them during our dives and showed me my first seahorses. Thanks for that ;)

Diving was okay, nothing special. Visibility was poor but did see a few cool animals. My divemaster was relaxed and easy to get along with. It was a 3:1 ratio on my first dive and a 1-1 dive on my second, and she was very professional and easy to follow. However, my big issue comes in the form of customer service. I left two very important things at the dive shop back in MARCH and have had LITTLE TO NO support in getting them shipped to me, even with the promise of reimbursement (super easy these days). I have emailed multiple times and haven't heard back from the company in over a month. It's pretty pathetic that they treat their customers like this after you spend good money to go diving with them. I would not recommend this shop, or diving Koh Rong/Koh Rong Samloem to anyone.

Go with a different dive company in Cambodia. Visibility was terrible, they never should have taken us and should have suggested going another day. Our dive master went so fast none of our group could keep up, spent both dives just trying to see his fins, so didn’t see anything. Stopped once to look at a sea slug for less than 10secs and looked up and had lost him. My friend and I had to surface alone. She said in her 60+ dives she’s never had to. We asked him to slow down so we could look at things the next dive, he didn’t. Spoke to the rest of our group on the way back and they were all disappointed in not being able to stop and look as well, so it wasn’t just us. Not professional at all. Had to pick out our own dive gear, most of the items were broken or ripped and not stored well. Had to put all our own gear together and carry all our own tanks onto the boat (for both dives), take it all apart, wash it, and return it. It was good practice I guess, but not sure why we were paying them $85. Worst diving experience ever. Can only go up with another company.
