This beautiful Hacienda dates back to the 1700. They grow Sugar cane and produce some of the best Rums in the world.
Many activities to do, not included in the admission price. A tour of the Hacienda including where they make rum. A Rum tasting, a coctail making course, an activity to learn about Rugby team play. A nice and small restaurant where you can order typical venezuelan food.
Located about an hour and a half from Caracas

This is a very magical place. The Hacienda Santa Teresa is a place that you must visit if you go to Venezuela. This place brings you a lot of good memories and experiences that you will never forget. One thing that you need to do and take is the Rum Tour because they will explain you how they make their rum. Also during this tour you will learn the story of the Hacienda and how the owners started with the idea of making rum.

We visited the Hacienda with 20 family members including old people and children from 2-10 years old.
We had a wonderful time. They explained how the rugby experience has helped many people. And we played a little bit. They showed us how they make the rum and took us to the cellar. We tried the different types of rum. We had lunch there and the food was so good. Our day ended with some cocktails. The best mojito that I have tried! Price was ok. We spent more than 4 hours there and we had fun. If you are foreign tourist the price for the whole experience is about $9. When you compare this to the price that you will pay in Puerto Rico in Ron Bacardi or in Scotland in the Museum of Whisky, you will be in shock. And there is not point of comparison. This experience is awesome!

The hacienda, founded in 1796, has produced sugar cane, rum and other products throughout Venezuelan history (Independence consolidated in 1821). The "Ruta del Ron" (Rum tour) shows the process of making rum from the production of sugar cane to the expiration and customs processes. A priva casks cellar holds the rum casks of worldwide companies and celebrities and the tour includes sample tasting of all rum-based products. Huge greens, paint ball (need to book) restaurant and of course, a bar with rum based cocktails. You can't miss it.

Pleasant atmosphere. The main objective of the place is to take a guided tour of the rum planting and manufacturing facilities. If you are not going to take the tour you only have a restaurant, a store and a grass area to play outdoors.

The guided tour requires prior reservation, you must reserve on Mondays, otherwise it is difficult to get a place.

Very good tour, not accessible for those in wheelchairs.
