So much history attached to this place, a must visit. Staff very knowledgeable. I did not climb the steps to the top, however, my family did and they were in awe of the view from the top. An incredible experience.

The drive there on the Wild Atlantic Way itself was amazing. The Lighthouse is so beautiful in it's setting right at the head of the Bay and views forever. [filmed parts of the new Star Wars right across the water]. Nice walk from the carpark...More

About a 35 minute drive from Downings across the bridge, the trip out to Fanad Head is beautiful. The lighthouse and surrounding area is worth exploring. There is a new building on site that wasn’t there last year, with restrooms and a proper parking lot....More

I took friends to see the Lighthouse for the first time, they had a fantastic trip to it and the weather was beautiful, as for our guide Megan she gave us a very amazing tour

Fanad Head - Iconic location. What a wonderful trip and guides. However, disappointing to find the new car park and toilet facilities have no tearoom. 6 stars for the addition of an option for a cup of tea or coffee and a wee traybake!

This light house is beautifully situated on a rocky coast and thus is the reason for its placement. A handsomely built beacon for the sea goer. The tour guides here are amazing with their detail of the lives that have been lost and saved. The...More
