Excellent and scenic location lovely lace to visit.but if you're hungry take food with you! The pancake House is expensive and if you were to cook same size at home you'd probably have 4 or 5.

Pancakes and a lovely nature trail.
Sep 2021 • Business
Been here so many times before and love it. The food is amazing. Great sized portions and delicious pancakes. However, COVID19 had meant I’d not been for a couple of years, despite living locally. As things are gradually returning to normal this was one of the places I wanted to visit as soon as I felt ready to get out and about again.

Reservations only at the weekends, so we booked. Efficiently seated when we arrived and all staff wearing facemasks. Tables nicely spread out from one another to allow for an ideal amount of social distance.

Food good as usual and arrived in a timely manner. I had the Sweet Dutch Speciality pancake and my husband had the savoury Dutch speciality pancake (without mushrooms). All brilliant. Good customer service, staff attentive enough but never in an overbearing way.

It’s always nice to follow up your visit to the Dutch Pancake House with a gentle stroll around the Nature Trail and Water Gardens. Beautiful today as ever.

Recommend and will be returning.

All a bit run down
Sep 2021
Free to enter, after that not much else to say that is positive.
Probably due to covid the place has run down.
It needs a real refresh to make something of it.

Rubbish
Aug 2021 • Family
Gardens very poor and run down, the only animals we saw on the nature trail was ducks. All the animals enclosures were empty and looked far to small for anything to live in comfortablely anyway. We couldn't get a table at the pancake house as we were not told to book ahead of time. Also the aquarium is no more than a shop that sells fish, it had 3 turtles but that was it. So we ended up leaving with a very disappointed 4 year old. Don't waste you time.

Horrific dog attack- please be careful with children and dogs
Aug 2021 • Family
We visited the water gardens today, hoping to look around, walk on the nature trail and have a cup of coffee.
When we got there the cafe garden was full but the helpful staff booked us a table for an hour and a half later and we planned to look around the gardens with our son and our 2 well behaved rescue dogs.
Our visit was cut very short some 15 minutes later, when out of nowhere a very large and aggressive German shepherd/ mallonois type dog appeared from some bushes and started attacking my dogs.
It was utterly horrific and both my dogs ended up being bitten and completely traumatised by the experience. Luckily other visitors were able to assist although my husband was dragged to the floor during the attack and the dog tried to bite another lady who tried to help us.
A very unhelpful lady appeared from a garden and admitted it was her dog and that he was friendly and just wanted to play, this was clearly not the case as he was still trying to grab one of my dogs by her neck. The woman seemed very reluctant to come and take control of the dog but eventually the animal was removed by its careless owner.
My husband reported it to the staff in the shop at Conwy Water Gardens, and the gentleman said he was going to have a word with the owner ( my husband got the impression it could have been a family members dog?)
On leaving the venue we reported the incident to local authorities as we were not convinced the matter would be dealt with and we are concerned that such an animal can run loose in a venue where families and young children are relaxing and enjoying time together. I hate to think what would have happened if the dog had attacked a child or smaller dog.

Need to book
Aug 2021 • Family
We arrived at the Dutch Pancake House and decided to do the nature trail first. This didn’t take long so we were looking forward to treating ourselves to a pancake (or two). Sadly, we didn’t realise that you needed to book a table (we got there at about quarter to three in the afternoon) and there was no more availability for today. They are also not doing take out at the moment. It smelled amazing but just make sure you book ahead.

Dutch Pancake House
Jun 2021 • Couples
We only visited the Dutch Pancake House so we cannot comment on the gardens. The food was outstanding, the service was exemplary. The quickest & most cheerful service we have experienced all week so far on our Welsh holiday. A great example to set to all eating places. Can highly recommend the Indian savoury pancakes followed by the sweet Dutch ones for afters. Wish we were local

4 hours in A&E was more interesting and joyful
Jun 2021
What a terribly depressing outing, the water gardens consisted of a murky pond with a dreary trail around it, any animals were heavily incarcerated and the poor otter broke our hearts. Alone, caged and with access to a patch of water smaller than a toddler's paddling pool, this little chap was clawing at the wire to get out. My biggest regret is that I didn't free him. The ducks were severely caged in cramped conditions, this was more than protecting them from foxes this was preventing them from flying. Thankfully the chickens seemed to be allowed t roam. We browsed the shop which was underwhelming. Al in all a very sad day for all of us.
