As we traveled from Puno to the border, this was an interesting stop although it's not worth a special trip. There is a small admission donation and cute Llama for photos.

Inca Uyo is nowadays described as an ancient fertility temple of the Inca. However, there is also a theory that the authentic Inca stones were put into the position you can see them today much later, in the 20th century, in order to create a tourist attraction for the small village of Chucuito. Perhaps we will never know the truth. However, this small 'temple' is an interesting stop if you have the time. The dozens of mushroom- or phallus-shaped stones of different sizes are a curious view and the photos taken here will make everyone smirk.

This is a very small fertility temple. Basically, there are a lot of stone penises in one place. Coca leaves are strewn around by couples hoping to improve their chances of having children sooner rather than later. There is even a stone penis on the roof of the adjacent church. You don't see that every day. There are a few vendors selling tacky souvenirs as you approach the site. It is definitely unique and if you are in the area, it's worth a quick look but it is nothing to write home about.

We took the local minibus from Puno (only 1.5 soles each) to the town of Chuchuito about 20 minutes. Then walked to the little temple. 5 soles enterance fee and then lots of laughs. There is a main comples with penises (penii?) of different sizes. The largest had evidence of still being used today, woman offer wine at the main phallus to assist them in fertility matters. There are a number of stalls selling fun momentos. Look behind you on the top of the church tower and you will find a penis on top. A fun way to spend a couple of hours in Puno!

We took a taxi from Puno to Chucuito for 40 Sols and all there really was in the area was the fertility temple. It made for some interesting photos but other than some cute trees in the park there is nothing else ther. We caught the local bus bus back for 1.50 Sols,!

We took a s/40 taxi ride to this town from Puno to visit the temple. It was interesting for pictures. Would have been better if there was some explanation of what the grounds were and what not. It’s s/5 to enter with a few vendors round.
We grabbed the shuttle back to Puno from the town square for s/1.50

This odd destination seems to be a legitimate repository of fertility phallic stones with some legend surrounding it. The nearby Church was built by the Spaniards but the origin of this small open temple area is unclear although it is located in the little village/city of Chucuito on the edge of Lake Titicaca near Puno. I would not suggest this as an interesting destination.
