Calshot is down the end of the A326, so out of the way but worth the trip. A narrow stone beach lined with beach huts at low tide it extends out to sand banks that can walked out. Being out of the way it is...More

Calshot is steeped in history, there is always something to watch.we go every week of the year, Christmas Day is always special. We have lots of old fashioned fun playing boules, swimming, paddle boarding , BBQ s, and plenties of coffee and cake

lovely beach free parking in certain area's lovely views of woolston and the isle of wight beach is all stones so you don't have to worry about sand in between your toes

Yes. Dogs are allowed and there is plenty of space. I think there are dog waste bins too. There is a road the whole way along so just keep an eye on cars.

Not sure also about Calshot but almost directly across lies the Hamble River (we live at Warsash - famous for Lord Lovatt and 'his' piper on D-Day -1) there are always crabs - large ones as well on the slipways and the small... More
