This is a steep climb (we are in our 60s) with numerous stone or metal stairs. The nice thing is there are benches to rest on dotted along the well paved trail, and a small picnic area about half way up. We took it quite...More

The climb up is hot and sweaty with lots of steps, although once at the top you are greeted with stunning views in all directions.

The track is well constructed and offers great views out over Port Stephens Nelson Bay. The track is popular with tourists and locals alike. Parts of the journey are steep but a reasonably healthy person will be able to complete the track.

Worth the hike up. The views are worth it. Take water and proper shoes. Can get a little busy on weekends and bottlenecks occur at several spots. Look out for the resident large spiders above you. Harmless though.

Great place to visit especially the top of the mount, quite a climb, but well worth it for the spectacular 360 views.

There were plenty of kids doing it! Personally i wouldnt want to take a child under 6, you'll be carrying them. Its probably best suited from 8+ they all seemed to be having fun... i look forward to taking our kids back up... More
