Located about 45 minutes north of Montpellier, France, this huge cave system makes a memorable half-day trip. The tour, lasting about 75 minutes, was conducted in French. Of the group of 20 people in in the tour, all spoke French, except for one English-only couple;...More

Spectacular place, really amazing. The tour lasts about 1:15 hr. Our children enjoyed it very much. The guide did not speak English, and it was helpful that we purchased audio guides.

We visited La Grotte de Demoiselles in the off-season, during the week (October) so we were not plagued by the crowds that other TA contributors have highlighted. It is really worth the visit and our guide was very knowledgeable - the only negative was his...More

OMG What a place. It seems docile from the outside but once you are in it is spectacular. So scary. Small stairways with a 100 foot drop a small handrail away. Once you are in there is no turning back. Oh, apart from the short-cut...More

The tour was in French, but the guide spoke good English and gave summaries and answered questions for the English-only people.
