Well, apart from lots of food and drink, this market leads you through a narrow road right through town. There's lots of local souvenirs and clothing - also on the famous Pithakhon festival.

Highly reccomend a stop here. Yes, it is markets and stalls but the quiant buildings and lovely people make the place. Early more greeting the Buddist monks and the views of the river were great too. Lovely to stop a night or two.

This is a quite location, very peaceful and there are some temples near by. I can't see any reason why they would close. The Kings death mourning has told locals not to engage in joyful parties in respect.
