About
Honeymoon Bay is a great picnic and snorkelling spot on Beecroft Peninsula. The Beecroft Peninsula is Navy land and is only open to the public on weekends and public holidays. You can get a bite to eat or stay the night in the nearby town of Currarong, or camp at the bay its self.

Snorkeling paradise

Honeymoon bay is stunning. Crystal clear water to see the amazing sea life. It was safe and sheltered for the kids and had a lot of shade. The only downside was there were way too many people here. I will come out of school holidays next time.

Almost too good to be real
Jan 2021
You walk down this path, which is perfectly framed by trees, to see this little bay, with ultra-clear blue water. the shape is almost completely circular. The water is so calm. Can this be real?

Yes, and it is completely natural, believe it or not.

Went down Mid week and was open to the public quiet bathing and calm water... so friendly for our 3 girls 7 and under. Visited the lighthouse at perpendicular point also. Highly recommended for the family. Long way out of the way take a picnic!

Beautiful Spot
Feb 2020 • Family
We did a boat tour with Jervis Bay Wild and they pointed out this beautiful spot, so decided to go back and check it out. We went midweek, we were lucky that it was open, and we had the whole bay to ourselves! It was perfect for the toddler to play in the shallows and there were little fish swimming all around. The beach was shady so we had an escape from the sun and we saw some kangaroos on the way out. Would definitely go back!

Beautiful

Quiet and pretty place to camp. Not open every day. Long dirt track in, but well worth it, even if you are just fishing.

Fun drive in - totally worth it!

Amazing location for picnics, sun bathing, swimming, family fun. Keep an eye out for the kangaroos. We took some beautiful photo's as the sun was setting. Gravel road access so not too comfortable if in a smaller car but worth the 12km of discomfort. Untouched beauty in our own backyard.

Beautiful, but busy!
Apr 2019 • Friends
Visited Honeymoon Bay during the April school holidays, and it was completely packed! Very pretty, and lovely clear water. Bindijine Beach, which is just around the corner, was lovely and quiet, and we were watching a stingray in the water. Much more peaceful! The road to the beach is also very rough and dusty, and you have to go through security checkpoints, because of the weapons range. No dogs allowed.

My partner and I had gone on a Jervis Bay Wild cruise in the morning and decided to drive around on our way back to Sydney. We had a lovely afternoon relaxing and swimming. Lovely clear water and shaded beach.
