The paintings were fake. The rude guide was real. There are better (more authentic) cave visits in the area that provide better value and leave less of a sour taste in the mouth.

We're sorry about your bad experience. We take good note of it.

The original is closed to the public to ensure the art’s survival (humidity, germs, etc. was being tracked in by visitors and destroying the art). This exact replica makes you believe it’s the real thing. Amazing

This was the highlight, for me, of our trip through France. This was a total reproduction of the original cave. The original cave paintings were being damaged by heat, light and people’s breath (carbon dioxide). Paintings in Lascaux II were done using the same pigments...More

This is a must see when in the Dordogne! Before we knew it, we had been underground for more than 2 hours. The guide was utterly fantastic and passionate about the site. The art itself is awe-inspiring.

Four of us spent a week exploring France this September. The cave at Lascaux was one of the highlights. While it is a reproduction, it is as real as the original must have been. And because it is a reproduction, the lighting was better than...More

We apologize for the late response. It depends mainly on availability. At this moment, we propose a last visit at 17:30. It is highly recommended to book online.
