Get ready to step into a home built metal lattice cable car and be suspended by two long wire cables as it pulls you and a few others in this make shift cab hundreds of meters above a gorge. Just be sure to be balanced inside the cab, don’t rock the car off the cables and you will be rewarded with some great views at the top. The cost is reasonable at like 8,000 pesos and good cold beer at the cafe at the top. Highly recommend!…

The actual ‘car’ has been updated (original up top for pics), but still a bit creeky and you do not want, nor should you make any sudden movements whilst in it. Sometimes, they make you wait for others to call the car.

I will point out we didn’t do the actual cable ride- we walked up to the stop at the top. Views not that good. Do yourself a favour and walk up to the Cristo de raya instead on the other side- the views are better and the man up there is super friendly

I enjoyed the ride and the view from the top. It's a very easy walk from the town center and you can do the whole thing in an hour. Unfortunately the small restaurant on the top can get easily crowded on weekends and there is not much else to do up there. An alternative to get similar views of town is hiring a tut-tut and visit El Cristo statue.…
