A must-do stop for any visit to Brac— a beautifully presented and wonderfully preserved capsule of a museum that shows you how olive oil was made for the last 100+ years. The cousins who give the tour are descendants of the founders, and have an extensive knowledge of olive heritage. Make sure to do the olive oil and olive tasting upstairs- you get a tasty and hearty sampler of three farm made jams, oils, tapenades, along with local red wine, fresh bread and farm fresh tomatoes. This visit rounds out sightseeing- you get an actual taste and feel for the island and the soul.

We rented a car for one of our days on Brac and made our way up to the village of Skirp. We were met at the car by a lovely lady selling her lavender products and made her way to the Olive Museum.
The tour was given by Ivan, Who is very entertaining and knowledgeable about the old ways of producing olive oil.
After the 15 to 20 minute talk we were invited upstairs to enjoy olive oil and other fresh local products such as fig and marmalade jam‘s on The best fresh baked bread.
Everything was delicious and the tour was very enjoyable. I would recommend this to anybody even those with children.

This is the place you HAVE TO visit when visiting Brač! The owner gave us a tour and showed us how the olive oil was produced by his great-grandfathers with the use of the exact machines in the museum. The tour, degustation and products they sell (olive liquor - highly recommended!) are at a great price and quality 😃 You can expect a family like atmosphere and charming views around the museum. No better place to visit on Brač!

We rented a car for the day and the car rental agency recommended a stop in Skrip to go to the olive oil museum. It ended up being a highlight of the day and of our entire trip to Croatia! Stefan gave our family of four a private tour of the olive oil mill and was very engaging with our two children. They loved the hands on aspect of the tour and we were all a captive audience. The olive oil tasting at the end with delicious breads, olives, jams and candied oranges was the icing on the cake! Thank you for the best time!

Our visit to the museum was amazing! At first we were unable to get to the location from Supetar, since there were no buses driving. But the owner was so kind to pick us up and bring us back after our visit. The tour was very interesting and tasty. The guide told us the family history and all the details about the process of making olive oil. We would recommend this museum to everyone who is visiting the island of Braç!

This is a fantastic tour for adults and children alike - I can't recommend it enough. You'll find out how olive oil was first produced on the island of Brac and how it compares to the modern manufacturing process. Our guide Ivan, was extremely knowledgeable and delivered the information in an approachable and humorous manner which even children enjoy, especially as they get to interact with some of the original machinery. After the tour, you have the chance to taste their delicious olive oil, olive spreads, cheese and wine. Special mention for Krunoslav and Mandica who run this fourth generation family business. They are incredibly welcoming, warm and friendly people, who restored the oilery just under 10 years ago and opened the museum on site. We had a small problem on the day of our visit and Krunoslav dropped everything he was doing, skipped his lunch and helped us out, going over and beyond what anyone would normally do! Thank you!

We rented a car and drove around Brac and ended up in the little town of Skrip and after reading such great reviews we had to stop by the Olive Oil Museum. We were not let down. What a great experience, honestly one of the neatest things we have done during our time in croatia. The cousins who operate the museum are extremely knowledgeable and very entertaining in the way they tell their families history and the history of Olive Oil and the process of making it. They have restored their great-grandfathers olive oil house, and they have done a phenomenal job.
The tour itself walks you through a quick history of the family and the process of making olive oil and how it has evolved. Very educational but entertaining at the same time. The Cousins' enthusiasm and knowledge is infectious. After the tour we elected to have a wine, cheese and olive oil tasting. I highly recommend you go all out and do this - the spread they brought out for us was amazing. We got to sit on the upper floor in this beautiful house surrounded by all of the vintage olive oil tools and eat and drink fantastic wine, cheeses, meats and spreads. In addition to the olive oil they make their own Fig and Orange Marmalade onsite, they were fantastic, we ended up buying some of the fig marmalade (in addition to some olive oil) because it was that good.
Do yourself a favor and get to this place, I promise you won't regret it!

One of our favourite activities on the island of Brač so far, and we've been spending summers here for the last 3 years. We were made to feel very welcome by the hosts of the museum right from the start. The tour was amazing - very interactive and entertaining for kids and adults alike. We learned a lot about olive oil and its production that we didn't know and the tastings of home-made food and drinks were delicious. Thank you very much Muzej Uja crew - we will be back with more family and friends for sure!

The museum was great, it is actually a small tour of an old olive oil mill where the host explains how oil is made and what makes it special. Our tour guide Ivan was the best part of it - he explained everything in details, was open to answer all questions we had and made the tour really fun 😊 The tour inluded trying island specialties and their homeade oil which was great. Definitely try bitter orange marmalade, the best ( you can also buy it at the museum). We also got to see the sunset which was breathtaking🌅

Unexpectedly wonderful and instructive stay in a pleasant cultural and historical environment. Thanks to hardworking family who managed to faithfully reconstruct the entire process of processing olives in the way it used to be done. Thanks to Katja and a friendly cousin (whose name, unfortunately, we don't know) for their kindness and interesting explanations. The overall impression is rounded off by tasting the extra virgin olive oil (that is now obtained from the same olive trees, but with the help of modern technology) and excellent delicacies of family cuisine. The short education helped us to learn how to taste and evaluate top quality olive oil. All praise to the Cukrov family who live in and for this Museum and a warm recommendation to all who visit the island - a visit to this Museum will allow you to get to know the islanders and their lives nowadays and how it used to be.
