Went to take part in the Gruffalo walk with my family. Previous reviews say this is suitable for two years olds but it is not. My little two year old got bored because there is not enough there. My child loved the two carvings (at the start and end) but there was nothing in between other than posters and unless... More

Great day out for everyone - young and old alike - beautiful scenery, wonderful woodland walks and adventures, and of course some fabulous mountain bike trails! Visit between April & August and you can watch a 'live' stream TV of local Ospreys that have been breading here for a number of years now. 'Go-Ape' appears to be another popular attraction... More

I wanted a change from Fell Walking, so I hired an MTB from the centre for the day. A great decision! The kit is top notch, you can get all you need, including a helmet - you will need one. Lots of grades of rides; lots of challenges; loads of adrenalin and buckets of fun. I'm no expert and the... More

We visited with our 4 yr old son while on holiday in Keswick, the Forest is great, beautiful views, enjoyed the gruffalo trail and children's play area, cafe was very overpriced for what you got, hot chocolate was far from hot and the cakes were small and very overpriced! Our son had a Sausage and beans costing £3.50 which consisted... More

I'm new to mountain biking but reasonably fit. I tried the blue Quercus run first and it was great fun. You can take it at your own pace but a lot of it is so smooth and flowing that it's like skiing. I saw kids from the age of about 5 upwards but I imagine that many of them would... More

He was able to have his photo taken with the Snake, Owl, Mouse, Fox and GruffaloThere are plenty of walks short and long and... More

Beautiful place to walk with the family and our dog. The trees shelf you from the wind. Could also hire bikes or do go ape.

Second visit- last time MTB, this time walking. Well signed trails although we did them in half the advertised time. HOWEVER Tourist Info appeared shut- staff were inside and no notice on website or door to say they were shut. Cafe is overpriced- at £8 for a Jacket Spud or Panini I would expect something really special. Even the cakes... More
