About Go Ape Whinlatter
Highest Go Ape in the country plus NEW Forest Segways It's so high you can see all the way to Scotland. Enjoy a Tree Top Adventure with us in our beautiful forest, riding zip slides through skies, over water and in England's only true mountain forest. We're sure you'll love the spectacular views of the Lake District. Swinging through the canopy, wiping out at the bottom of zip wires and going on an adventure brings people together like nothing else we've ever seen. It really does. We'll brief you for safety before you fly down our zip-wires, leap off our Tarzan Swing and tackle our crossings whilst enjoying some of Britain's most breathtaking scenery. And you can get off road and enjoy our epic forest adventure with Go Ape Forest Segway - an awesome segway experience in the Lakes with a down to earth twist. A great idea for a day out in the North Lakes (and home to Bassenthwaite ospreys), this is Go Ape at its most untamed.

The segway experience was great fun. Once you have got the hand of controlling the segway, it is a great way to observe the beauty of Whinlatter forest- making pit stops at beautiful focal points. Jonty was a great guide, very patient and supportive. Thank...More

My husband and two sons did most of the trail here until it poured with rain. The people training them were really great and placed a lot of emphasis on safety. Also it was reassuring to see there was a practice area under close supervision...More

Decent course and good instruction. We've done all sorts of courses like Go Ape now and I prefer it when it's not possible to completely detatch from the course. You can do the course from age 10 (with parent supervision), so it can be a...More

A thorough safety briefing to start, followed by a demonstration from the instructor, who checked we were competent and then let us go. A very safe environment, but also some tricky obstacles to challenge teenagers, 20+ and 50+, Granny decided to watch from ground level,...More

Thanks for getting in touch and for thinking of us Mike. Our adventures at Go Ape Whinlatter are for those aged 10 years and over. 10-15 year olds do require a participating adult with them at all times. The cost for our 2-3... More
