“Nice but small”

Since it only costs 1,000 won to go in, don't expect anything amazing. You cannot go right up to the burial mounds, and only 2/4 you can see closely. Still on a sunny day it is nice to walk around.

We visited during winter. While it was cold and barely saw other visitors, it was a nice quiet place for a walk and admiring the tombs' architecture. Having said that, the set up of the place does not quite allow visitors to really see the tombs (I don't mean the insides of the tombs but rather to see the mounds, tomb stones and statues accompanying the tombs) as the views were blocked by slopes and fences. It's a really pity but I guess the place is not intended for tourist visits.

A DAY OUT OF THE CITY!
It was a wonderful day! We packed a lunch and we were off for the day, out of the city! The best thing was we went when the cherry blossoms were blooming. It is also next to a huge, wonderful horse ranch that you are free to walk around.
It was a peaceful, calming day with nature...we all need that, more often than we know!

Nice but small

Seosamneung is a historic site located in Goyang City. It's one of the Royal tombs of the 'Joseon(Chosun)' Dynasty.

If you're interested in Korean history and Joseon Kingdom's heritage, I recommend Seosamneung to you. Please visit surely that place.
And Furthermore you can also visit Seooreung near that place.
