As someone from the United Kingdom who has travelled to various European countries, this place very much felt like a Disney creation of what a French village would look like. It’s really a place for kids, with a few shows dedicated towards the primary/ elementary school age bracket, one show in particular that I saw where a guy in a cone shaped jester hat and comical shoes, performed some basic magic tricks for the kids that were with their parents, and also created them various well known characters out of balloons. The place does provide some fantastic views of the surrounding mountains, and views of the Han River which provides some great photo opportunities for the adults going with or without kids.

Been wanting to drop by this place ever since I was exposed to this location back when I started watching Running Man. And the looks of it was exactly what I had expected. Very small but interesting French Cultural village where there are many buildings with really interesting art designs and concepts all around.
However, in all honesty, I don't think I will be able to spend an entire day here, as the views we see around here is pretty limited and we were almost done within an hour or so. Fortunately we went to this place using a Klook package so it was not too bad as we had other programs packed up, so the time we spent there was just nice.
Will suggest visitors to plan multiple programs so that you don't end up feeling bored.

Pretty small village. Have many spots to take photos with cute little decorative objects. You can walk uphill to enjoy the lake view. I saw deers running around.

If you are going by the city designated tour bus which one of the stops is Petite France, you have to walk uphill about 300 meters to get to the ticket booth.
The slope is very steep. Unless you are going by car, then you can drive up to park near where the ticket booth is.
We have old people which is practically impossible to climb up. We also saw couples with stroller having difficult getting to the ticket booth.
Nothing much to see inside. They spilt the inner into Petite France and Petite Italy with two different tickets.

Here's what I knew before going there. It was a little village, a replica of a French village. I expected something like the Bukchon Hanok Village, I can promise you, it is nothing like it. It a tiny fake village on a hill, you can prolly cover it in 30 mins. It's colourfully painted buildings, feels like an adult who has refused to grow up made it for his / her kids. The only thing worth seeing was the art gallery, which is not worth the 10,000 ₩ you pay to visit the village. I was really disappointed, and this was after spending time at the Morning of Garden Calm on New Years eve and Nami Island. If you are booking a package tour, do MGC and Nami Island and skip this. Unless you have kids who love the Little Prince, this might be interesting to them.

Petit France was very cute and pretty. It was good to take a picture with my family. Especially, I liked the Saint-Exupery Memorial Hall. I could see Pinocchio play because the time was right.
At the end, it rained, so I couldn't walk around well.
But it felt like I went to a small France.
I recommend you to go Petit France when you visit Gapyeong.

We visited last May of 2019. Petite France is indeed cute and pretty. We also found a collection of porcelain dolls which I find it a little creepy to look at. We strolled around, but for me, nothing is too special with the place. But it is indeed “instagrammable”.

If traveling to Nami island, this is an essential stop-over.
A must especially for fans of The Little Prince. It's like being transported to France!
There are cafes, shows, and tons of displays for The Little Prince. One room dedicated to the writer, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

I visited Petite France with my College Euroscola Group. It is a magnificent small village, where you can wonder around and feel the fresh air against your skin. Furthermore, this small village looks like a painted picture. Truly amazing. A very good place/opportunity to take some beautiful and memorable photos as well. Enjoy!

This place is an artificial village where Korean Dramas are filmed. I wasn’t a big fan of it. I think it would’ve been better if there was a nice set down restaurant or some
Kind of activity for visitors. On the flip side, the painted buildings are pretty, but not worth the trip.

Do not waste your precious vacation days on either one of these places..... unless you are a lover of Korean movies and culture, both places are a complete waste of time. The nature at Nami island, is mediocre at best and the experience at Petite France is less than that.

We are selecting between Petite France and Land of the Morning Calm. I am with 3 of our parents and 3 kids (9yrs old, 3yrs old and 4 months old). Which will you recommend and why? Thank you!

Garden of the morning calm is significantly better, much larger, more scenic and better value for money.

I'm searching for someone who could help out with the French language for the month of January 2015 -- and maybe more.
Can you help?
