Every summer's day after school, Mettam's was the place to be. It's fairly well protected, for WA beaches, by the reef. Kids can swim pretty safely here, and a picnic dinner on this beach on a hot summer's evening is just what the doctor ordered.

Nice beaches with great spots for snorkeling and surfing. Or even for a long walk along te coastline, you´ll be not dissapointed.

Escape the city to Mettam's Pool. You'll very quickly forget where you are. Sitting below the busy West Coast Highway, you'll be one of the few people relaxing on a pristine white beach. In the summer the water is glassy. Bring a snorkel and catch a glimpse of the remarkable coastline and beautiful reefs. Its a small, child friendly beauty!

We love heading down to Mettams Pool, the water is always clean and the beach is somewhat sheltered. Take your snorkle and some flippers as there is lots of cool rock pools to explore under the water

Had a great time at Mettam's Pool, Perth. Great place to snorkel or to learn to snorkel. Safe natural large pool and for experienced snorkellers, a deep drop off from the ledge of the reef. Western buffalo drummers, Pomfreys, red lipped morwong, yellow box fish, old wives, wrasse, whiting, banded sweep, silver drummers, brassy drummers and a whole lot of... More

I have been swimming and sun baking at Mettams Pool for over 30 years, it is a lovely small protected beach. The reef is amazing for snorkeling with lots of varieties of fish.

Blessed with the whitest of beach sands and with a protected lagoon type setting, Mettam's Pool is one of the safest locations for small children to swim or play. Also an ideal place for the elderly or disabled to swim due to a well constructed concrete ramp leading to the water;s edge. Very popular with families.

We go there like 3 times a week although the drive is a bit long but it's worth it. Great reefs, you find all sorts of fish swimming at knee depth, crabs big as your palm. Beware of the blue-ringed octopus though. The corals might brush against your chest at some points especially if the tides are out but soldier... More

I live In the Perth hills so this is my local - straight easy run down Tonkin Hwy and north beach road. By far the Best kids beach for learning to snorkel - no rips. Dog beach nearby and you can watch the windsurfers get air. Plenty of sea life and amenities including shade, toilets, showers, grass.

In calm waters, this is a good spot to begin snorkelling and to practice moving about a reef. Do wear some reef shoes as rocks are abundant which is good because then fish are abundant too hiding amongst the rocks.
