Mettam's Pool is great for casual swimming, easy snorkelling, or serious snorkelling if you want to get into deeper water. The stone formations, plants and fish are stunning. When there, try to take care of the limestone -- both to preserve the stone and for the sake of your feet. As with all coastal places, conditions can change rapidly, so... More

My mum and my Nana used to bring me, my brothers and sister to Mettams Pool when I was little for years I remembered it as Grannies Pool because that"s what Mum always called it. Recently I rediscovered it with my 7 year old daughter whats great about this tiny stretch of beach is it's surrounded by reef so all... More

Our afternoon had very strong undercurrents and it was difficult to get out beyond the current, but once out, the sights were great. Saw many different fish and great underwater plants. The beach has lots of rocks and can be tricky to maneuver, also the beach is very narrow. It was a bit crowded on an early fall afternoon on... More

Mettam's pool is a beach great for snorkeling and not too far out from Perth city. It can get reasonably crowded at times and on a windy day becomes difficult, but the fish and plant life you see below the surface of the water makes it an incredible experience.

Found this place via reading through tripadvisor. The frequenters are right -- great place to snorkel and swim. Saw lots of fishes even close to the beach. Check the tides before you go as it can get very shallow at low tide.

Snorkelling is fantastic and very protected for young and old, it's like your own swimming pool beach.

A beautiful swimming spot, calm crystal blue water. We were here on a bank holiday and it was difficult to find a spot for our towels- loads of people around! Would love to return on a quieter day!

Mettams Pool is one of Perths coastal gems. It's one of the most beautiful spots to swim, snorkel and just relax. There are lovely coffee shops within walking distance. Why would you want to go overseas when this incredible spot is in our back garden

This beach is a great little beach especially for little ones. Plenty of parking near by and beach is generally nice and clean. Will visit again over Summer!
