Aim to arrive at 10am! The first activity you can participate here at 10.10am involves calling out to a herd of fluffy alpacas who will come running down the hill to an enclosure where you and a bunch of other people will be waiting to feed them some breakfast.
The best way to explore this park is on foot - but note there are some uphill sections so do take your time to take in this entire experience. The alpacas are nice and docile but they have been known to spit at people who piss them off.
There is also a station at the midpoint of the park where you can spend some money to "rent" an alpaca to walk around the area and take photos with. You are also given park tokens to purchase feed cups to distribute to the wildlife here that also includes birds, deer, goats etc.
There is also an activity that allows you to collect a stamp at 10 locations located around the park. Collect all ten and you can exchange it for a small gift at the gift shop at the entrance of the park.
Good fun and some ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING SCENERY for the whole family!

The park is larger than it seems and it may not be suitable for those with difficulty walking as there are up and down slopes and little shelter. Ignore the 10.10am feeding time, because there are lots of opportunities to feed the alpacas around the park. It costs $1k won per cup of feed from vending machines around the park. Take note that the coin changing machine exchanges notes for an "alpaca coin" that is worth $1k won. If you don't use it to buy feed, it becomes a souvenir without any cash value (unless you sell it to someone else.) The park also has deer, birds, rabbits, goats (some miserable looking ones) as well. If visiting with family (kids, old folks etc.) set aside 2 to 2.5 hr duration.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time at Alpaca World. Visited as a part of a tour package that included Nami Island and Garden of Morning Calm (both of which I also recommend) with a co-worker while on an extended business trip and while the temperature was hot, getting to interact with these fantastic creatures was absolutely worth a little sweat. It was fun feeding them in the pen, but the 1:1 interaction of the healing walk was absolutely worth it as I could not stop smiling the entire time. Overall the park is nicely done and the animals all appeared very well cared for. Definitely worth a stop if you are looking for a fun animal adventure (no matter what your age).

Love this gem! This was a tour that came about together with nami island while I was searching for nami island tours. Lots of cute animals - alpacas/ goats/ rabbits/ dear / lamb all of them you could feed.
The interesting thing about the place is that one can get up close with the animals while feeding them. Not an experience one could get in many places !
Place was clean and well managed too!
Would recommend to drop by if heading to nami island for a day trip to visit the animals and support the animal friendly establishment

Come at 10am. There is a 10.10am free feeding session/show where the alpacas run into an enclosure for you to feed. Even though on website it states that it is only on weekends but because there were at least 2 large tour groups - we also got to enjoy.
Strongly recommended to buy alpaca coins if you have kids. Each coin can be used at vending machines that dispense specialised feed for some enclosures.
My 8 yr old was literally bursting with happiness and skipping throughout the 3h we were there!
Totally worth the long journey there (1.5h from seoul).

Extremely touristy and really caters for younger kids or adults looking for Instagram photos with animals. Looking at the sad state of the two magnificent eagles was heart-breaking. Alpacs themselves were adorable and have alot of character.

The park was really fun. We had a great time encountering so many animals such as alpacas, birds and other creatures. The park was well built and you could collect stamps along the way to win a prize at a gift shop. Awesome

Be sure to come early and don't miss the chance to experience a pack of alpacas running towards you at the start of the program. The place is a habitat for many beautiful species. You'll get a chance to walk with alpaca for 15 minutes and feed the rabbits. You can buy PACA coin at the ticketing counter and use it to buy feeds from the vending machines located around the farm. There is a mini game as well, once you complete all the stamps you'll get a gift from the souvenir shop. Highly recommended for everyone who visits South Korea.

My kids enjoyed spending the morning at Alpaca world. it started with the feeding of the alpacas. And then walking around visiting other animals eg, rabbits, peacocks. Vending machines are available for us to purchase food to feed the animals. There is also a nice cafe which serves good coffee and snacks.

I was probably the happiest person in Alpaca World! The Alpacas are well cared for, but their ponies could use more love and care.
Definitely do the Healing Walk with the Alpaca. It was short, but a whole lot of fun! I just wish they can make this walk in a garden or through a field, and not just to the bathrooms and back…
It’s quite a trek out of Seoul, but definitely worth it!

Hi, how do we get to Alpacaworld from Myeongdong using public transportation? Earlier you said take ITX at Yongsan Stattion and get off at Chuncheon station and take bus #3 to Alpaca World but can you please give more detail? Also, how do we get from Alpaca World to Busan? Thanks
Written October 13, 2019
Hi, i just went there on 27 october, there was no tour on Sunday so we decide to take public transport, but Bus #no 3 no longer available, so we have to take intercity bus from Chuncheon bus station to Hongcheon, and take another transfer bus (we have to check the schedule and wait again for the bus), not easy. so i will recommend to take the tour, or drive with a private car if possible..

Yes you can self drive there and you can’t use Google Maps in Korea. Use the Waze app instead to get around. Hope this helps and have a fruitful and safe trip in Korea!
