Abadía Retuerta is a mute witness to history and a place where the land and the vine come together. The duty of our Duero Valley winery is to respect and preserve the legacy we have inherited in one of the top wine regions of Spain, our surroundings, the monastery and its wines. To return what we can to the earth, enhancing and increasing what we have so generously been given.

We took the wine tour and they took us through the vineyards and showed us the different varieties of grapes. The vines were loaded as harvesting was a week away. They explained to us the harvesting process and then they took us to the Bodega and gave us a tour followed by a wine tasting. Well wort it.

Our party of 9, including 5 young adults, enjoyed the experience of visiting the abbey, where our guide David took a memorable photo of our group and Beatriz provided the historical background. We continued on two 4x4 vehicles to the vineyards, entertained with the anecdotes of David on the sustainable control of rabbits and mice done by introducing predators in... More

Sandoz has invested a lot of money in this wine-making facility making it truly modern and impressive. While we have visited many wineries in both the new and old worlds, nothing comes close to this extremely high tech spick and span facility. The wines are also very good and can only get better with age.

While staying at the hotel we scheduled a visit to the bodega. Well worth it, very interesting how they have developed the farm, and all the products they derive from the wine, specially the wine salt, which I tried and is really good. Really recommend it.

Thismismne of the more expensive Ribera del Duero wine tours -- 30 Euros per person -- but it is money well spent. The guides are knowledgeable and their English excellent. Most importantly, this tour, in addition to,the usual inspection of the wine making facilities, includes a visit to the vineyards in 2x4 and an explanation of the grape, growing practices of... More

Excellent English speaking tour and tasting. The flagship blend is elegant. Worth making room in your luggage to bring home.

We decided to go to the Abadia Retuerta to do some 4x4 tour around the winery and later do a wine tasting curse. What a Day! The quality of the winery and the staff is just top of the notch. The scenery is breathtaking and the wines are fantastics.
