Went on an excursion to Saona Island that we booked thru our hotel while staying in Punta Cana. Was an amazing trip by catamaran and speed boat on the return. Awesome white sand beach with beautiful turquoise water. A must to see for anyone who...More

Same excursion type as others: bus from bavaro from different resorts then pit stop in a supermarket for tourists then bus ride to bayahibe then speed boat to artificial pools (quite a nice moment - very nice swimming experience and amazing crystal water) then back...More

My partner and I have been to this paradise island twice now, and both times we have had such a wonderful time together, the buffet that was put on was nice and varied, it was so good to see some options there for vegetarians too!...More

Day trip out to Isla Saona. Depart from local beach, out to island via Catamaran, return via speed boat. Skimming right along a coastline adorning inside-the-reef water as translucently clear as anywhere I've seen (...been to Cozumel, Queensland's Gold Coast, Fiji, Sardinia, Cuba and the...More

Is a paradise island. The water from the beach is turquoise and crystal clear. In the way to the island you could stop in the "natural pool" in the middle of the sea and share with the starfish in their natural habitat.

Our resort was on the Atlantic coast so it was great to visit the island and experience the turquoise waters. The harbour was alive with venders and tourists and boats. The speedboat out was great fun, not so impressed with people holding the starfish though....More

Saona Island is OK. The island itself is nothing extraordinary and also nothing much to do. What we liked the most was speed boat ride to the island and along the way we had stopped at the area popularly known as natural pool. It was...More

It depends on the age. I wouldn’t bring children under 5 years old because it is a ling day and the catamaran ride is lengthy and the speedboat ride might be a bit rough for little ones.

On the island in town Mano Juan there are local restaurants. Most tours provide you food and drinks the entire day. You could always take something from your accomodation or shop at the supermarket up front you join the tour. More
