This is a great visitor center for information on the area. There are a dozen or so exhibits(taxidermy, etc.)inside as well as a very helpful and informative staff. You can also purchase an adventure pass here for the mountain area.

We asked several questions and gal at the desk did not know like where the turkey trot would begin in Big Bear. On a positive note that was free post cards

Nice and informative staff (volunteers). They helped me get the transportation I needed while my truck was at the repair shop. Because of the staff I was able to enjoy my time in Big Bear.

Following signs as we first arrived lead us to a MUST needed restroom and plenty of parking by the mighty tall pine trees

Popped in for trail maps. Staff really helpful. Buy parking permits here too. A lot of dead animals, if you like that! Shuts at 4pm, maybe a bit early.
