As we were leaving Big Bear we noticed the rock formations and pulled over to get a better look. This is truly a unique area with beautiful rock formations sitting in the water to make for a perfect selfie. There are many benches where you can sit down and relax to enjoy a drink or lunch if you choose to do so.

The park is small but has picturesque views of the boulder island in the middle of the small bay. There were lots of people enjoying kayaks and paddle boards. We sat on the grass under a pine tree and relaxed by reading a book.

Relax while sitting at your favorite park. Pack a lunch, bring the kids. Let them fish while you sit under the big trees. Bathrooms are clean. And well maintained. Park is beautiful. Walking your dogs is allowed while on a leash. Enjoy your time. Be safe.

Big Bear is more crowded during the week than on weekends last year. Crowds are everywhere, traffic is terrible and parking is difficult. The beach was very crowded and did not allow for social distancing. Very few people wore face masks. I would suggest going early morning or evening to avoid the insane crowds this year.

Stopped here for a quick break. Small park on the south shore of Big Bear, about five minutes from the village. Very clean, well maintained with view of scenic Boulder Bay. Has benches and a gazebo for shade, adequate parking and restrooms.

This park is high-end, well maintained, and clean. The water level is high now so we had a blast. We rented kayaks right next door at Getboards and spent the day on the water and with a picnic on the grass. The bathrooms were also clean.

Boulder Bay Park is a pretty little park but has a few things not working in its favor. As noted by other visitors, the lake is so low the boulders in the middle of the bay can be walked to without ever getting so much as a toe wet. Currently the area of the "lake" between the road and the boulder island is within 6 inches of being completely cut off from the main part of the lake and is so thick and green it looks like pea soup, not water. The road noise really ruins the park and it was inhabited by at least one homeless person when we visited this morning. It could be a really nice park.

It’s quite beautiful in the summer, and many people are launching their kayaks here. Parking is quite limited.

Such a nice quaint place to stop and see the Boulders in the bay and the lake. There are nice areas to sit a play area for the kids. Dog friendly.

Lots of people doing many things from sailing to paddle boarding. The picnic area is very nice with quite a few covered tables. Great place for a walk or some fishing.
