This was a very easy hike to make. I was not prepared properly for hiking, but found myself doing just that because my wife was not feeling well. Great scenery!

We did the section of Pine Knot Trail that connected to the paved Happy Hills Trail at City Hall. The trail skirted near Metcalf Creek, so it was nice to be able to hear the gurgling water during the hike. There was a nice elevation...More

There are many camping options in Big Bear Lake but not in the Pine Knot trail as this trail is for hiking and biking.
