Interesting, while modest site that shows a reconstitution of a roman house and the remains of the Juliobriga settlement. The structure of the old roman city is clearly visible and decipherable.
We did not stay for the 11.30 guided tour as we needed to go on with our cycling tour.

A superb setting for a Roman site of major importance. Good museum that includes the re-creation of a Roman domus. A great place to amble around for a couple of hours. However, there is very little, if any, information in English and no guidebook. Appalling, in my view, for such an important site. As a tourist attraction, they really are missing a trick.

We have been to Juliobriga several times, we often go up there for a picnic, or to take visitors. There are fantastic views across the valley to the mountains, and even without going into the visitor's centre (which doesn't always seem to be open), which we've never actually done, there is a lot to see for free. The ruins are very interesting and well explained, and it's interesting to look at the fields around the site, you can clearly see that there is more still buried away - as my mother said, a Time Team dream!

Great site and views. So much potential and interest but...This is the site of a Roman Villa and small town. Very interesting. There is (we think) a modern museum which recreates a Roman Domus but we were not allowed to visit. There is a strict timetable for tours ( in Spanish) every 40 mins past the hour. You are not allowed to wander around inside on your own. You have to join a tour even if you cannot understand what is said. There are no signs in English. We would have been delighted to wander and enjoy the displays despite the lack of information in English but "Rosa Klebb" was adamant, it was a Spanish tour at the appropriate time or nothing. Saddened we chose nothing and left. What a missed opportunity.

Great visit and nice to be able to wander around freely and for no cost. Haven't been into the muse yet as our 2 visits coincided with it being shut.

We arrived here hoping to see the museum, which is a recreation of a Roman villa, but it was shut (a Monday). We think there are strict opening hours so check in advance.
However, the museum is one small part of the site, with 8 or so information boards around the Roman town that are in Spanish and English. You can easily have an informative self-guided tour of the ruins - we probably spent about an hour walking around.
This is definitely worth a visit if you're driving nearby.
