Le Galion is such a nice beach to go to with children. The shallow and calm water is ideal for the young or old. Can be crowded, but worth it.

Really nice area with clear blue turquoise water, shallow water for smala kids. Same with a pool area with divins spots. Area is not crowded as other surrounding popular beaches. Calme and quiet with panoramique view! Great Day and escapade.

This is a great beach for families since the surf is extremely mild due to the waves breaking out by a large reef. There are several trees for shade if you get there early. A concession has drinks and food for purchase. A bit south,...More

If you want to get away from Oriental Beach hustle and bustle, this is your stop. Quiet out of the way beach where you can just relax. There is a nifty little restaurant there with fresh fish sandwiches, creole dishes and oxtail stew. Just a...More

Pretty sure the restaurant is called "Le Galion Beach".
Hello, Koverton and others, You mentioned that Le Galion might be closing and will be turned into a nature preserve. We will be there mid-April. Do you know if the beach will still be open? Thanks! Wini

No the French gov. has decided to leave everything as is. The school's on the french side use one end of the beach for like a gym class of swimming. So the restaurant and bathrooms are safe for a long time.
Hi, Are there bathrooms on the beech? Thanks
