Four adults & 2 kids 6&7 years old we had the best day of our trip at galion. Food was fantastic on the beach, water calm but with enough wind to make us work SUP'ing further out, not too crowded & the weather great today. No concerns here leaving things in our vehicle as is the case elsewhere, though the... More

If you love shallow water with no waves - this is the beach for you. Great for families with little kids. There is actually a swimming pool with lanes out on the water approximately 20 feet from shore which you can wade through the water to. If you have the desire for surfing you can easily walk out to the... More

Gallion bay is protected from the surf so is suitable for small children. Possibly the only place to snorkel too as the water is clear. There are sunbeds available to hire and plenty of parking. There were also kite surfers having a great time too.

This is with out any question my favorite beach on the whole island. The view, water and food are just great. The beach is so calm that anyone would be able to go in the water.

Beautiful, quiet beach. Pretty small, but perfect for just relaxing and getting sun. You can rent chairs and umbrellas. A great resteraunt right there. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. A perfect day!

I can't say enough great things about this location as being the quintessential "baby beach" on St Maarten. Warm clear water, no more than 3-4 ft deep even 100 yards from shore inside a protected bay where you can still see distant crashing waves on the Atlantic side. There are several vendors to get standup boards, surfing lessons, volleyball, even... More

This beach is walking distance from the Butterfly Farm. Orient Beach is the tourist beach - but it has way more people and much rougher water. Le Galion is off in a cove probably within a mile of Orient beach - which allows it to be sheltered from the rough waves.

This is a lovely, relaxing beach excellent for sunbathing, swimming or water sports. Bring a board or kite or just lie down in the sand.
