We just travelled by bicycle throught Pamir and Bartang valley. We booked a transfer from Dushambe to Rushon and back (also trasporting the bicycles) from Nazrulo's agency to avoid the hottest part and sectors of road under constructions.
He answered to our questions and doubt (sometimes he is on the mountains with no telephon signal, so he might not answer immediately... but he will as soon as he can! No doubts!!).
During the travel we had some logistic and health issues and he helped us to solve it! He has many contacts in Bartang and it can really be difficult to find a reliable car with a good driver (not falling asleep) and enaugh gasoline supply in summer period! Then he suggested alternative solutions for the remaing days of the jurney

Absolutely amazing trip from the village of Bulunkul to Bardara in the Bartang valley. Nazrulo from Bartang and Sarez Tour organized transport from Dushanbe to the Pamirs and back for us (great driver!), we couldn't be more happy as everything went terribly well. As a bonus, when we met Nazrulo on our way back to Dushanbe, he called his friends - musicians from Gurminj Zavkibekov Museum of musical instruments and when we visited the museum on the next day, we could enjoy a wonderful concert of Bartang traditional music (Samo Ensemble). Thank you and hope to see you again soon, Nazrulo! Vit

I can only give a 100% positive recomendation for this company.
Nazrulo the tour guide has excellent command of multiple languages including English and Tajik.
He has a passion for people and thinks about how best to give a good travel experience to his guests. He is caring of his travel customers and is very proactive. He talked about different aspects of Tajik culture geography and history to give us some understanding of the country.
Our group included 11 people and everyone was happy with the travel company. Naz was very kind and helpful. On a hike up a beautiful valley to our accomodation I lost my sunglasses - Naz was able to find them the next day! He made the travel experience fun and happy, and went beyond our expectations.
Our 4WD drivers were friendly and competent in all they did. My driver was able to share some of his experiences as a Tajik which helped me understand his country better.
I can only recomend this company - I would be very happy to travel with them again.

We had decided to go on a cycling trip traveling along the Wakhan Valley and the Pamir Highway. We asked the Bartang -Sarez agency to arrange the car transfer from Dushanbe to Korogh. The trip was organized, j using an excellent jeep that accommodated us bikes and luggage. We also appreciated another very important aspect for us who were traveling alone and self-sufficient, the agency guaranteed any assistance if we needed it. We thank Nazrulo very much for his professionalism and kindness!

I did a 6 day trip in the Pamirs with this company in October 22, joining 2 other people to share the cost of the trip. I must say from the very first interaction with Nazrulo I was truly impressed with how on top of everything he was, how excellent his English was, how caring and attentive he was. The route we did was pretty classic, in my understanding, starting and ending in Khorog, covering most of the famous spots on the way. The driver was very friendly and nice, it was helpful that I speak Russian to be able to communicate. It would be even better to have someone who could act also as a guide to some extent, sharing some historical/cultural info about the region and places we passed. Accommodations we stayed in were all good (considering the remoteness of some places).
Good thing to keep in mind is that you will be spending A LOT of time inside the jeep. So looking back, I would make the trip longer with more day/multi day hikes in between. We only had one full day hike.
Also, I recommend brining some fresh veggies and fruits along if you go to Karakul, as in Murghab it was difficult to find any. Likewise, vegetarians/vegans should take care of their protein needs in advance, as up there the food is mostly carbs (potato, rice, noodles).
Both Wakhan corridor and Bartang valley were very impressive in terms of scenery. And well, the lakes of course are spectacular as well. Landscape wise, it's one of the most beautiful places in the region.
All in all, I think Bartang and Sarez tour is the perfect company to take charge of your Pamir adventures. They are diligent, reliable, attentive, extremely helpful and charge very reasonable prices. I wish to be back one day! Tajikistan is my favourite country in Central Asia, in large part because of the Pamirs and the people who I met during the trip organised by Nazrulo!

Bartangsarez tours led an awesome trip for our group through the Pamirs in March. It isn’t seen as the typical time of year to visit, but the Bartangsarez group were very flexible in arranging homestays ensuring that all comfort could be met at this time of year. The Wahkan valley and Lake bulunkul were incredible experiences and highly recommend as the highlight at this time of year. The other benefit of going in March is being a part of the Nawruz(Persian new year) celebrations, which like everything in Tajikistan can be changed last minute due to weather or local government, but the bartangsarez team were super flexible to ensure we got to all our stops and enjoyed many festivals throughout the valleys. Toyota landcruiser was in excellent condition. Tohir, our driver, put us at ease as extremely experienced on the roads, including ice, mud and sand, so we could just focus on enjoying the incredible views. I highly recommend these guys if you are looking for a custom Pamir highway trip for any budget!

Very professional since the beggining. Nazrulo and Tohir form a great team. Nazrulo helped us design and solve questions for the tour and do all the prearrangements and Tohir was in charge to guide us and explain everything while keeping us entertained.
Due to the early time of the year we went some roads were still closed but they managed that with a lot of flexibility offering us alternatives or even pushing the day longer to make sure we could see everything.
The local experience couldnt have been better as we met lots of locals and could experience the Nawruz celebrations too. Accommodation wise they adapted to our daily budget and have options for any kind of traveler.
Would definitely recommend!

There are several reasons why I would rate and reccomend these guys highly:
1. Nazrulo is always very prompt to respond back to every query. His turnaround time to answer my queries is very fast.
2. Extremely patient with all sorts of queries regarding the tour.
3. Tohir has been a great driver and knows the places a lot. Only thing I would have loved more if he could give more info about few places in Bartang such as the Aqtash meteor crater or the Moon calendar etc. Nevertheless, he was still able to explain several other points while on the road.
4. Car was in good condition.
5. Food was local in nature and plentiful.
6. According to our budget, proper rooms were given and almost no complaints in this segment too.
7. They helped us to do some shopping in Dushanbe and also took to bank to exchange forex. Note that in Tajikistan one cannot get any money changer's service, you must go to a bank.
8. Nazrulo was very helpful and quickly arranged our transfer to airport when we somehow made some delay on last day to reach to the airport.
9. Nazrulo's entire family has been extremely good host when they invited us for a lunch at their own home toward the end of our tour, and they served us our own food, in a foreign land, where getting Indian food was quite difficult! This shows their eagerness to build a great relationship with their clients and we all were extremely delighted.
I plan to get back to Tajikistan again.. and Bartang and Sarez tour company is to go with for sure!!

We traveled for 2 weeks with Bartang/Sarez tours in and far beyond the Pamir with our really good and enthusiastic driver Mamanazid! He made this tour even more special then it already was. Although we thought in front we would like too drive by our own, we’re really happy we didn’t because of the challenging terrain we faced all the time.
During our searching phase we had a lot of contact with Nazrulo who helped us really good with everything. There was a lot of possibilities in adjusting the tour in the way we would want it. Also during the trip he checked us many times if we were still happy with everything.
So nothing more than positive feelings about these guys!

We made a 24-days trip, including one week trekking.
By planning the trip, Nazrulo was very good partner : good advice, very quick answers, great help in resolving administrative difficulties.
Arriving in Tadjikistan, we met a very welcoming and friendly team for whom the most important was our comfort, safety, pleasure and make us discover their beautiful mountains. They were on the top, even by unexpected events ( like road blocked for several days).
Natives from the Bartang valley, they took us deep into the so rich and so special culture of their small people.
It was definitely an unforgettable trip.
