I can’t complain about the views you have from above and the feeling of being in the middle of the mountain but what they don’t explain to you before climbing is that it is a Sky center and that you can only do that. The Cerro Catedral complex has 3 levels, the first level that is the base is where you will find the sky schools, restaurants, shops where you rent all the snow attire and the ticket shop where you buy the tickets to go up in the cable car to the next two levels. To get up to the middle level you have to pay $30,000 for adults and $24,000 for children and you line up for like 1 hour or more because those who go skiing to that part of the mountain go up. In the middle part where we were is a wonderful view and the snow to what gives, the only thing you can do there is play with the snow, take a culiskate that rent in the bottom, walk through the snow or eat in the only restaurant that is there. There is one more level up that only skiers can go up because the only way to go down is skiing and there you are already at the top of the mountain. We arrived at 1 30 of which were half an hour to buy the tickets so that we could go up from there an hour and a half in line to be up at about 3 Pm and at 4 pm no one can go up and everyone has to start going down because the line is more than half an hour so we only enjoyed the snow and the view for about 50 minutes.

On this imposing hill we could enjoy a day with endless nuances, from the enjoyment in its base of restaurants and free fun in the snow to do culipatina; and an excellent view and gastronomy after a first ascent by cable car that costs $30,000 per Argentine adult (in this part you can also do culipatina free and other paid activities (zip line, palestra, sled...). For seasoned skiers it offers the ascent in the aerosilla to the highest part. Ski and snowboard schools operate on site. At the cable car stop, there is the restaurant LA ROCA with excellent gastronomy and prices according to the excellent view from the place. (you have to wait long to enter if you do not have a Reservation). We find at that level, and with the best panoramic views to professional photographers that will allow you to treasure that moment (accept transfers and some cards). It is advisable to consult the weather to ensure that the means of ascent work. In remis from the center of Bariloche to the hill costs $20,000- and the tour companies offer the excursion of about 4 hours at a price around that value per person.

Incredible place, even if you don't ski, the place deserves 1 whole day dedicated to it.
Go upstairs , take a snack and spend the day admired by the view of the place , play with bizarre , enjoy the wonderful view upstairs .
We went in September 2024 and for those who are pedestrians it costs 30,000 pesos per person to climb up to the lynch shelter top are 1930 meters above sea level). Obs .. look up on a sunny day, the sight is stunning.
Many people take snack pq the restaurant up there is very expensive, a long neck crown beer - 8,000 pesos. In the part below the hill you have a mega complex with several shops to rent ski equipment , restaurants, chocolates, kids space , fast food . But tb everything very expensive ..who rent a car, has a free parking, a little far away, but worth the cost X benefit.

Take the number 55 bus to the car park (cost 80 pesos on a Sube card). Start hiking / running from there. First 6k is easy along a well marked path through forest. Then it gets a bit more difficult. The last 1k is over boulders and rocks. View at the top is amazing. Lots of rock climbers and sun worshippers. The day we went there was no wind and it was hot. Very pleasant spot for a picnic. It took us 2 hours up and 1.5 hours down (running). A very pleasant trail run. Total distance 19k.

Terrible place ! Huge lines to the lifts, the slopes aren’t groomed daly - most of them aren’t groomed at all. They don’t have artificial snow machines, so you find mud patches all over the place. You can’t find a map anywhere on the slopes and the posting signs are poor. Didn’t see any patrol during three days - people injured were carried down skiing, instead of being taken on snowmobiles. Places to eat are few and always crowded, not well maintained as well as the rest of the place. You can’t even see the lifts columns properly secured so no skier would get injured in case of an accident. Don’t go!!

Rent clothes in the center (7 thousand pesos complete set) because in the stores before going up to the hill you will pay 10 thousand
To enter, it costs 16 thousand pesos per person, children pay half
Take some equipment to go sky butt, it’s so much fun! If you don't take it, they will lend it to you when you rent clothes from them.
The view is simply fantastic, there is a restaurant at the top but the ones at the bottom are cheaper and have the same options
Temple has craft beer, very tasty!
The place closes at 5pm, so go early to enjoy it.

Excellent hill! We climb with the pedestrian pass ($28,000 adults, under 4 inclusive do not pay). You have a huge place to play with the snow, throw yourself in a culiskate (you can take yours or rent it on the base, as long as they are of the little ones), you can even take yourself for lunch there or take for mate. Upstairs there is a confectionery La Roca, but I recommend booking if you want to have lunch there because otherwise it is taken and you have a long delay.
The place is super spacious and even if there are enough people you can take advantage! We had an amazing day playing with the snow!

Horror show. Lotadissimo, carissimo and poorly delivered service. We bought a daily ski ticket for R$576 and we couldn’t take advantage of almost anything, huge queues to climb the pistes. I bought for my bride the pedestrian access that gives the right to go up the road for R$140, we arrived to enjoy the access and the cable car was banned, in the end we could not enjoy what we bought (the same day) and we were not reimbursed. Anyway, I would consider coming to the Cerro Bayo (100km away) and not going to the Cathedral again.

Coming from Uk to ski for the first time in Argentina i found the resort and skiing highly comparable with skiing in europe Well pisted runs with a choice of many runs. It is obvious that they have invested in new infrastructure but its a pity there are no canopies as needed when it is cold , nevertheless the ski area is reasonably to keep one occupied.Resort is small with a number of good bars and restaurants.Minor.points signage on mountain needs to improve especially when there is low visibility. The price of the lift price is relatively high and there is no reduction for multi day stays. On the whole its well worth making the long journey and a lot better than skiing in Chile. Cerro Cathedral is meant to be the largest ski resort in South America and I understand why. It doesnt disappoint Staying in Cerro Cathedral is a must to avoid trip up daily from Barioche . Wonderful views over the surrounding area

We were at Cerro Catedral in July/24, we chose not to take class or practice ski/snowboard, we paid for the cable car to climb up to the top of Cerro and “play in the snow”. Worth the experience! The cable car costs 28 thousand pesos per person and gives right to a climb and descent, arriving there you can slide in the snow, make dolls and admire the landscape. There was not much queue (about 10min waiting). Food and beverages are expensive there, worth eating in the city center. We also went to Piedras Blancas and it was much more fun, but Cerro Catedral is famous and worth seeing if you have time, it is also nice to see people practicing skiing on the slopes!
