We are a family of five and 2 of our boys are avid fishermen! They absolutely loved it! We caught an abundance of fish and we were blessed with a fantastic host in Dennis and a very knowledgeable guide in Armando! The Boat is very comfortable and the fishing gear in good condition. Great bang for you buck!

An extremely well run activity!!! This is one of the best kept secrets unless you are resident!! Dennis is a high caliber host - his ATV picking up you and your coolers as you arrive at the gate.. Remember - beer, wine, water, snickey snacks, lunch etc should be taken. Hats, sun block, sun glasses are essential. Ice and baggies needed. You are loaded with the guide in place and off you go on a pontoon boat for a wonderful day! 7 :30/ 8 am to 2 pm. Life jackets now available. Amundo is THE best guide. He puts the bait (live minnows) on your hook, untangles all the tangled lines from inept learning fishing peeps. Knows all the fishing holes. I love Amundo's : " next spot ". And, he is speaking fairly good English now. I have been doing this trip for 7 years and cannot miss a year. Gorgeous day out on the Lake, Amundo knows all the spots, and the Peacock Bass, Tiger and Oscars cannot hide from him. Share your refreshments and lunch with him! Returning to the dock around 2 or so, Amundo cleans and fillets all the fish, and baggies it to the number of people on board. Share and share alike. No discussion of I get more, I caught more. Just a village sharing!! One does not even have to fish. The fish is so delicious!! Never a bone! Amundo rarely if ever hits a tree stump - this fresh water lake is man created to feed the Canal and was created by being flooded - thus the little islands are actual hilltops and the stumps the tips of the trees. See and hear birds, see locals in their caruga's, local houses and even a school! Sometimes in the distance, you will see a ship traversing the canal. And, who cannot love the cat Conga!! The friendliest little black cat ever. Conga, the heron, the raptures all swoop in for their fair share at filleting time. Amundo is an equal giver! Good friends, Good laughs.....and then the fish fry!! Best day one can have!

Had the most memorable day fishing with Captain Sammy, part of Captain Dennis' crew. Covered tons of the most stunning lake in a bunch of cool spots and slayed Peacock bass for most of the day. Man do they fight. This is a well run show. If you like fishing and beautiful views, and good fighting fish, check these guys out. Extremely professional and nice. I would go back in a heartbeat. And finally def take them up for a lakeside fresh fish fry with your catch!

After passing my exit by about 45 minutes my two sons and I finally arrived. Dennis and Armando were waiting by the road for us. I am an avid fisherman and have been on multiple guided tours from large strippers in Arkansas, walleye in Minnesota and South Dakota, crappie fishing in Alabama and many many ice fishing trips for walleye and perch...this has got to be one of the top guided trips I've ever had. Armando is the man!!! Everywhere he stopped we caught fish...I'm sure we caught over 100. They were cleaned and some cooked...this fish is delicious. Peacock Bass has always been on my bucket list...that baby is now gone...and a replica is going on my wall. The boat is very comfortable...you gotta go!!!

We had a great time creating family memories. The communications before the trip was great. The fishing was fabulous. Everyone caught several fish and we all had fun. We fished until we were tired. They cleaned our fish and a local restaurant fried half of the fillets for our lunch. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the fruits of their labor. Contact them early to ensure you get the time slot that fits your schedule. If a time slot does not fit your schedule, rearrange your schedule. It is worth it. We highly recommend Pesca-Arenosa and will return the next time we are in Panama.
