Easternmost southern point of the Iberian Peninsula. It is built on a 50-meter cliff and its tower is 18 meters high. It is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular landscapes of the Iberian Peninsula. When you get very close to the Lighthouse and can appreciate the beauty of its surroundings, one falls in love with this place.
Its flashes are seen more than 50 kilometers away
It is advisable to visit it at sunset, as you can enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in Spain here.
Its bottoms are very frequented by divers who choose this place as one of their favorites, since it has a deep, clean bottom with transparent waters and a lot of richness and underwater life.
The Lighthouse is the emblem of the Cabo de Gata Natural Park
The Faro viewpoint offers excellent views of the Mermaid Reef, a set of ancient volcanic chimneys surrounded by crystal-clear turquoise, light blue water and a wide palette of green and blue tones, another of the icons of the Cabo de Gata Natural Park .

It's magnificent, wild landscapes, transparent water, shades of turquoise blue green with dark black rocks
Go up to the lighthouse. In May parking is possible but in July August complicated traffic and parking almost impossible!
Access on foot to calmer coves (Cala) but via steeper trails or paths

The lighthouse itself is not really a great view as it looks quite run down and there is no access to it. But at the balcony next to it you get a view from the Sirens' Lookout which is one of the main attractions in the area according to the online lists of places to see in Cabo de Gata. We walked a little beyond the dead end in the road as we thought the view point was further along but it's to the left of the lighthouse so don't miss it!

The area is worth it but I think we had a novice guide who needs a lot of experience, he made an effort to make it enjoyable but beyond what is obvious, we miss more information. Without a doubt, over time it will enrich your work. Otherwise. It seemed a bit expensive to us but the place has a good visit.

We visited the lighthouse on a coach trip to the national park. The views from the lighthouse of the Mediterranean were spectacular. We noticed when we were there that it is part of E.U. dark sky's project in the summer months. We would like to go back and see the stars.

Excellent views! Such a beautiful place with crystal clear waters. There are no facilities so be prepared to bring your food and liquids. No bathrooms that we could find. The road at the higher levels is exhilaratingly windy and narrow.

Great day with the combined hike at Cabo de Gata. Perfect day trip or afternoon break when you don't want to sleep during Siesta :)

It’s a really nice drive through the park and up to the lighthouse. This is Spain though, so don’t speed at all as there are speed cameras in the park (fines for even 1 Km/h over the limit start at €100 plus the admin fee if you rent a car!). The road near the lighthouse is quite narrow, steep, and winding but it is well paved and safe. Enjoy the drive and the views along the coast are magnificent. The lighthouse is not accessible so you are really going here for the views. There is also a very long, clean beach along the road to the lighthouse and several bars/restaurants/cafes.

The views here are amazing and you can do a walk to some remote beaches. The drive is pretty special too. There is parking at the top and a restaurant.

Si vas junto al faro ves a la playa de la fabriquilla o la de La cabo de gata. Cerca están las Salinas que están repletas de flamencos, si vas con prismáticos es precioso verlos. Y ver el atardecer desde el faro también es muy bonito.
