This is a good option if you have kids. For my wife and me it was too touristy. The staff was great and they do a nice job. We just felt like cattle being herded around.

It's a very beautiful trip through the area that once where canyons. After Xingó hydroelectric plant was built, it became a big lake, but in the last part of the trip "paraíso do talhado" there are still some nice canyons left. Lasts about 3 hours, 2 hours going by boat and 1 hour in talhado canyon to take a row... More

A great way to be close to nature in one of the most well known rivers in Brazil . Unforgettable and I strongly recommend this activity.

The boat ride through the Xingo Canyon, above the famous dam, is quite nice. We took a three-hour trip (one hour up the river, one hour stopped at a swimming hole, and one hour back). The scenery is lovely, the weather warm, and the swimming is enjoyable. My only complaint was that the tour boat packed about 200 people on... More

Amazing place, canyons are very beautiful and swimming in Sao Francisco river is just indescribable! The boat trip is long and there's just too many people. The only restaurant is crowded and the food is a buffet - which is a throw off if you think that the food sits there all day on a very hot weather. Coming from... More

Nature in association with some man made modification, turned this place a beautifull one to visit, you will travel thru the River up to a point where they have natural swimming pool, that range from 10 meters to 1.5 meter deep, however, you are protected by a large rope, and the small one is right in the middle of the... The canyon is ok, beautiful, but the visit consists on one hour boat trip to get to a stop where people are allowed to spend one hour swimming at a super crowded limited area and for r$10 can take a small boat that won't take you further than 300m. If you are staying close to the canyon, I would recommend... More

Breathtaking boat ride. After only one hour you will have the opportunity to swim in the warm waters of the São Francisco river and ride on a canoe to a crack on the rock, sometimes having to duck to prevent from hitting the rock above. A must visit if you're in the area. If you're not on an excursion, try... More

The boat trip is on the lake formed by the Xingo's dam. A huge area of blue and clear water, surrounded by hills until the canyon, where between high cleefs you can swim in a safe area. During all the year, the water is in a good temperature. In summer is great!!! The boat is simple but safe, comfortable, with... More
