Visited here on a blustery Sunday morning meaning the sea was quite rough, making the visit a whole lot more exciting! Just coming off high tide also so a good degree of caution was needed when approaching the beach entrance via the path from the carpark. Very stony so watch you footing till it gets smoother. I imagine on a... More

Down a narrow lane that seems to go on forever you arrive at the National Trust carpark. Plenty of parking, although not free and the beach is lovely but not accessible at high tide. The beach itself is wide, rocky with hard-packed clean sand which is easy to walk on. Dogs are allowed here and there's plenty of room for... More

What a beautiful beach! Shame we couldn't get on it because of ONE step. Power chairs today can get over steep and rocky things but not steps! Why cannot they put in a ramp?😭

We walked to this beautiful beach when walking from Bude. It is quiet in December although there's a café and toilets during the holiday season. It's a large National Trust beach with a car park (free to National Trust members). The views from the cliff top are spectacular and the beach itself looked ideal for scrambling over the rocks to... National Trust beach. Great fun with young ones jumping over waves as tide coming in when we visited. Quite rocky under foot. Steep hill to walk down and up again so make sure you have correct footwear for this.

This is a favourite of ours for walking the dog, a great beach for a long walk but check the tide times first. When the tide is fully out you have miles of sand to walk along. Head south and you'll come across the wreck of the Portuguese ship Belem that got stranded here in 1917. There is a cafe... More

A bit off the beaten track but worth the effort. Beautiful sand and great walking to be had from there.

I love this beach! We stayed in bude for a week from 29th oct to the 5th November and we just kept coming back to sandymouth for walks after having a day out elsewhere. It's so scenic and the water is so clear our children got to play in the water couple of times because the weather so so warm... More

Fantastic beach Wide expanse of sand at low tide. Perfect for the dog to run and play. Great place for a summer picnic too. Good food facilities at the top along with toilets. Well worth the few quid for the national trust carpark as it's all so clean and well looked after
