Wanted to visit Bodiam Castle and whilst looking up on trip advisor, I discovered the Bodiam Boating Station. Called to check availability and we were in luck, pre booked our tickets. When we arrived we were greeted by friendly members of staff. We were early so decided to have a cake and a cup of tea before catching the boat.... More

Stopped for coffee and a row up the river on the way to Rye/Camber . Sunny day so was a very nice break . They have spent some money on the campsite/boating station and it's in a loverly spot where you can see the steam trains in the distance. Cafe service is friendly and helpful but slow and amateurish ,... More

3 nights camping trip stay at the bodiam boating station was a very nice break. The campsite is small, and the pitches are very close to each other, but there is a good space in the middle for the children to play in. The staff are friendly and helpful and the cafe/restaurant is very good, though a little bit pricey.... More

My daughters 7&10 went down the river this morning in a kayak youngest shared with me. Was lovely staff who were helpful. all booked in promptly and well organised. Followed by another delicious English breakfast. Be interesting to know more about loyalty schemes and kids kayak classes will be visiting again soon.

A quick kayaking excursion with our 9YO. Hire was easy if a bit slow as we seemed to be in rush hour with lots of people coming off the water at the same time and only one person helping to get the boats out. Simple to kayak and the scenery is pretty if very similar. The kayak we were in... More

We lucked across Bodiam Boating Station after a trip to the castle - what a find! Rowing boat and canoe hire by the hour or longer - we had great fun getting to grips with a rowing boat - on a gorgeous little river, and a cafe with a huge selection of fab cake. Lovely. Now we've found it we'll... More

What a beautiful location for some gentle kayaking. We hired 2 boats and spent a very enjoyable couple of hours pottering along the river in glorious sunshine. Staff very friendly and supportive. Lovely day out!

Lovely serene trip up river to Bodiam, then back. Plenty of times offered during day so could plan the castle visit and lunch before return. Very friendly and allowed the children to have a go at steering.
