We booked the whole campsite this July for a big group of friends and held our own mini festival. We hired out all the canoes and the ferry so that all 100 of us got to spend some time on the river. We had such a great time and everyone, including the 20+ teenagers enjoyed themselves.

The new facilities here are excellent. Great proprietors and staff. Nothing too much trouble. We hire 2 x Canadian canoes, 2 x double kayaks and 6 single kayaks. Set off towards Rye and got to Blackwall bridge where it is easy to get ashore and have a cuppa. Wind had picked up a lot so decided to head back to... More

Lovely review, thank you. I'm so glad it went so well and only sorry I couldn't be here to see you all return. Hope no one was too sore the next day. Hope we can do this again sometime! More

Lovely small site with the advantage of great breakfasts, drinks, staff and location close to the river Rother. We enjoyed our visit and particularly hiring a rowing boat, canoes and instruction also available. Everything was spotlessly clean and the staff worked hard to maintain that.

Had a lovely breakfast (cooked, smoothy, croissant and hot chocolate) at the boating station cafe. It looks out on camping area, the fields of the flood plain and a little garden. Kids happy to wait for boat while they trotted about in the garden and had food. Captain Phil was a friendly relaxed kind of a chap, with young kids... More

We've just returned from an action packed weekend at the rather lovely Bodiam Boating Station. The campsite is very well maintained and wonderfully picturesque, with cows grazing next door and a steam train making an appearance every so often, it really was idyllic. There is a lovely cafe/restaurant on site with licensed bar and ice cream available. There is heaps... More

We camped at Bodiam Boating Station from 2nd - 5th June 2016 and from the moment we arrived the staff went the extra mile to welcome us. The campsite is located in beautiful surroundings and it has a real family feel to it. We have two young children (6 and 9) and they were happy playing in the field or... More
