A modern bodega with old style ideas, our trip was conducted by Belen she speaks excellent English and her knowledge of the industry and area was second to none. We had a personalised guided tour and tapas afterwards the whole experience was great.

My wife and I decided to take my parents and friends from Australia to this Bodega as they offered an english tour (being one of only a very small handful in the Ribera del Duero offering English speaking tours). We were a little apprehensive before hand as we weren't sure what we were going to find, and didn't fancy being translators for the tour, which has happened at other Bodegas, but as soon as we met Belen our minds were put at rest. She spoke very good english and took us on a very informative tour including a visit to look at the actual vines, which are just outside the Bodega. She explained all about the vines and interesting techniques they use, that include a lot of science but also the instincts of the grower. Then we went inside and saw the winemaking process from grape to bottle. The bodega has an extensive gallery that shows you all the process but without interfering with the workings of the Bodega. After this we moved on to the fun part, the Tasting, we chose the 25 euro tour and tasting which includes the tour and tasting of the 4 wines they produce (also included in this price our a selection of local cheese and Iberico ham to eat with the wines). There was one white and three reds (Roble, Crianza and Reserva) to try, whilst Belen explained the different characters of each wine. After the tasting she allowed us to carry on drinking whichever wine we had enjoyed the most.

I highly recommend this Bodega and will definitely be visiting again with other friends and family. Thank you Belen.

With the economy not exactly buzzing you'd think people were interested in welcoming your business - not so in the Ribera del Duero region... Not a single winery was able to offer an English speaking tour except charming and very knowledgable Belen of Legaris!! She showed us the stunning new Bodega and we learned a lot about modern wine making. She took us out to the vines and through the whole process the wine makes till bottling. Afterwards we were treated to the excellent Legaris wines in a personal tasting atmosphere. Belen offered much appreciated local restaurant tips. Very recommendable!!

What a fabulous wine tour here. We were very lucky to have a fantastic guide who’s knowledge was tangible. I love people who are enthusiastic about their work and Belen was certainly that. The wines speak for themselves but the delivery of the visit was fantastic. Well done her

The modern look of the Bodegas made our group of 4 a little suspect however we ended up very much enjoying our visit and their wines (we had a case shipped to us). Our guide was knowledgeable and informative. Her explanation of the design of the building was interesting as was her articulation of the winery's operation and strategy. Worth adding Legaris to your list of stops in the area. Try the Calmo!

This winery belongs to Codorniu (cava) group, a Catalonian company. They are relatively new in the making of red wine in the area.Quite modern building with beautiful views. The tour we took with Rosa was around 1h & it was very informative, a bit technical even (we liked it a lot). During the tour we went outside to look at the plants themselves as the guide was explaining various stages of preparing the plant for winter, protecting it from cold etc. During the wine tasting we had crianza & reserva. Both wines were good.We asked to also try Roble (joven) and the guide was kind enough to open a bottle for us to try.We were surprised by Roble (Legaris Roble 2015) - very fruity, light, soft wine.Perfect for lunch/dinner or tapas. Finally we both o box (6 bottles) of it. My advise: if you plan to visit several wineries in the region, I would leave this one for the end or middle, but not a first one.

New technology and quite modern. Good wine quality. You can visit the place and take a guided tour. You learn all the steps in wine production in this brand new modern complex. The guided tour is conducted by proffesionally trained personnel. At the end you can taste diffrent wines and buy selected bottles.

Touring wineries is a bit overrated in my book. After you've seen a few, they all start to look alike. But I enjoyed this one. We did a self guided tour from the balcony overlooking the operation and then had tapas and wine in the tasting room. The lady who runs the operation was delightful and we were fortunate enough to have her full attention since we were the only people there at the time. So I'm returning the delightful hospitality by taking the time for this review. Glad to help.

We emailed in advance to line up a tour at Legaris winery, as other reviews indicated the tour was in English. Belen was prompt in replying and was there to greet us when we arrived. She is exceptionally knowledgeable about the winery and the the whole winemaking process, and was very generous with her time. The tasting was generous and we found all the wines to be of a good quality for the price. We are looking forward to having the Crianza we bought once we return from our holiday, and the Reserva in a year or two! We would definitely recommend taking a tour at Legaris if you are in the Ribera del Duero area.

We found Legaris on trip advisor and booked a tour a few weeks ahead based on others reviews and were not disappointed. Wine tours can be a bit dull but not at Legaris where we learnt new facts and were introduced to subtle intricacies of flavour by Belen who proved to be an excellent and extremely knowledgeable hostess. It is well worth a visit for wine lovers.

One note of caution. The TripAdvisor map is wrong, follow the directions from Google.
