Beautiful views at the top. Hiked to Gemmenalphorn, a moderate hike. I was staying in Beatenberg and had a guest card discount, which helped with the price. A less crowded place than Interlaken or Grindelwald, but with the same views of the Jungfrau.
Holy smoke we took this cable car which by the way was pretty expensive. Since we had a toddler and a baby with us we had no choice.
I would recommend to walk instead which saves you a lot of money.
Just take the cable...More
From Beatenbuch we took the vehicular railway to Beatenberg where we then got the gondola to the top of Niederhorn. The views of the Alps e.g. Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau is spectacular.
There are plenty of walks and a nice cafe/rest.
We walked down to...More

We took the 21 bus to Beatenberg from Thun and then the cable car and furnicular to the top of the mountain. The weather was perfect for the day. Cool and crisp but not raining. The scenery is spectacular and looking into the abyss was...More
Had a wonderful day out from Interlaken at the top of the Niederhorn. The views and walks were outstanding. We also spent the day up the Schilthorn which was incredible but I think I actually preferred this trip. Lovely mountain restaurant at the top. Cafeteria...More
We took bus #101 from Unterseen to Beatenberg (last stop) then grabbed tickets (expensive 35CHF adults, 18CHF teens) up the 20-min gondola ride to check out the views from Niederhorn. The ride up affords you great views of the mountains, both lakes flanking Interlaken, and...More
This activity takes the better part of a day but it is totally worthwhile. Take some time to tour the little village on the cliff named Mirren and the food at the buffet on the top of Shilthorn was actually pretty good. Take some time...More

There are three points at which you can leave the train / cablecar System so it depends on what you want to do. I would suggest you go right to the top and enjoy the view. Walk downhill to the middle station where you can hire a trotti bike or else continue walking down. To help you decide you can download an excellent map app from the Swiss Tourist folk or else buy the Kümmerly+ Frey Map No.18, Jungfrau Region. Make sure it’s the walkers map and not the cyclists map. The difference is the routes which are highlighted.

The Schilthorn is much better, lots of snow was there in May, and you can take good pictures too. Look it up on the net for the cost - you have to take a bus from Lauterbrunnen to the Cable car - there are 3 cable cars which take you up and the views on the way are breathtaking. Hope this helps :)
Buy a Swiss rail pass which is a good deal, you can travel on almost all trains/ boats and some cable cars, on the others you get good discounts.
Hope this helps.Good luck and have a good trip.
