Great hike to the Niederhorn, steep way up to the forest or easy way for family's with Kids. From the Station in the middle it's possible to rent a Trotinett and write down to Beatenberg. It's a cool ride down the hill, helmet is included. Great vu Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau and other beautiful mountains too.

When the weather is perfect I consider that a visit to the Niederhorn to be a must when holidaying in the Interlaken area. One can get to the Gondoler Station by using the 101 to the village terminus or the coast route bus 24. The trip is in two stages and offers excellent views across the two lakes of Thunder... More

We went up to niederhorn at 10:30 am, it was beautiful sunny day. We were hoping to get breakfast at the restaurant up there unfortunately we missed it. It closes from 10-12.30, so we went to the snack bar instead whcih was self service and offered very few items. The place had a playground for kids, though it was the... More

Used our bernese oberland pass for the cable car to the top and the funicular at the bottom which linked beautifully with the cruisers on lake Thun. The trip the whole way up gives you un rivaled views of the lake, and mountains including the Eiger, Munch and Jungfrau. At the middle station there is a cafe or you can... More

The best way for us was to take the cable car all the way up and enjoy the views from the panorama walk. We then chose to take the route 8 all the way back to Beatenberg. It's a beautiful hike about 2h long.

Lots of fun things to do in beatenberg and neiderhorn. Don't take the tram to the lake as it's not worth it but definitely take the gondola to the top

Visited here to fill a couple of hours en-route to accommodation in Interlaken. Took the train half way up to Beatenberg then hiked down, so cannot comment on what is available to see/take part in at the very top. The train is a steep ride up the hill, and even mid week was busy with locals off out for a... More

Worth trying it if you are in Beatenberg. The views are outstanding. When returning, rent the bikes to ride all the way down on paved paths. The kids will love it.

Great place for everybody! Easy access by public transports but also a great route for hiking! If you're hiking, plan it as a one day trip and go from Niederhorn to Gummenenalphorn!
