Love this church. Small but very well kept up. Beautiful altar, pulpit, organs and paintings. Recommend visiting if you go to the castle as its right next door.

Something haunting about this church. It has been there for 800 years and more. Is touted to be a Templar installation. Highly recommended to visit if in the region.

Beautiful old church.
Located next to the castle overlooking the town of Rapperswil.
Some graves outside the church.
Peaceful place for a short walk.

The church is at the back of the castle overlooking the town. The entrance is free and you a look around for 15 mins.

Thought it was a chapel coz it was beside the big church. The inside was beautiful and quaint, the church has a working bell and the bell pull is just by the altar.

I was up early after sunrise to the castle. The church and some graves outside were a reminder of human frailty and the short temporary stay on our planet earth.
It was a day to be thankful for nature's generosity to many.

Upon entering the church, there are brochures (German) explaining the history of the church and the surrounding area. There is a large seating area for the congregation, large altar and two side altars one of which has a statue of the sliver statue of the Madonna.
There are decorations along the walls and at the back of the church is a nice pipe organ. The painting at the side altars along with the many windows along the building offers much lighting that shines through above the altar and the entire church. There is a nice chandelier in the middle of the church and in front of the altar.
I would recommend seeing this along with Schloss Rapperswil, The Polish Museum and the small church (Liebfrauenkapelle) located next door.

This lovely Catholic church dates from the 13th century (19th century faithful partial rebuilt) and is located next to the Rapperswil castle on the hill above the city. Don't pass it by when you leave the castle! It is worth a visit thanks to its beautiful interior. There is also an interesting cemetery adjacent as well as the tiny St, Mary's Chapel.

A wonderful reward after the "climb" up the hill. A delightful setting, a marvellous setting and a particularly elegant design.

Looked at the beautiful church with its magnificent organ, structure and artwork.
Best kept secret is the chapel at the back up the hill. Small but even nicer.
