This is on the way to the lakeside walk, and well worth the detour. To touch stones carved thousands of years ago really gives a sense of awe and of the flow of time. And it is set within a nature park, that leads to the bird sanctuary and the lakeside.

It was nice to walk among such old historical monuments, which I didn't even expect to find in Yverdon. The place is pretty, well taken care of and has stands with information about the statues (in English too). It is also a part of the city's strolls to discover (free map can be received at the Tourist Information Office near... More

He stones are ok. I wouldn't write home about them. But the park is very nice, and the kids had fun running around and stuff. It also complete the museum visit where they talked about the stones.

It's quite nice to see. Nothing impressive though, I guess if you are really interested in the topic it might be really exciting.

Well not really, no huge crowds or weirdos dressed up as wizards, but it's marginally impressive albeit slightly smaller and a re-creation of what they thought was there 2000+ years ago. Free, easy to get to from the station and close to the lake/ other activities.

Interesting place if you like the prehistory. Those menhirs have a lot of story. They're located at a 10 minutes walk from the city center. You can go by foot or by bicycle, and there's a car's park 100 meters away. It's a nice place to go after a walk near the lake with is located at 200 meters. It's... More

Difficult (it's not all in one location) to find and a little underwhelming. But worth a visit if you have time and patience. These menhirs are not in yverdon as this page suggests. Get off at the first motorway stop after yverdon in direction Neuchâtel. Then drive on until the next village on the secondary road.

The menhirs of Yverdon are a great stop for anyone interested in prehistoric times and archeology. There are a ton of menhirs. They are not in the original location, as they were discovered when lake levels dropped and had to be moved to more stable terrain. For the esoteric amongst you, you will enjoy the energies of the place. One... More

Did some incredible Hartmann measurements there! Pity about the road nearby, but still very impressive, especially when you think these stones are 6000 years old!
