We first discovered this valley on a hike from Muottas Muragl on the “gastronomic trail” and fell in love with this picturesque valley with views of glacier covered peaks, cattle, llamas, goats and sheep and the sounds of cowbells and mountain streams. The first time...More

In the summer, the locals' only road winds up the valley, with snow-capped mountains and fields of alpine flowers and cows with bells and restaurants along the way. This year, on my way up I chose the path through the woods, on the right side...More

Easy to get to from Sils. We walked up besides the river. On our return follow the mountain bike trail to the right and then a steep trail back into the village. Many easy to hard loops available.

Start at the path where you see the horses and go up the trail. Walk to Sonne or all the way to the end for a refreshing drink to celebrate your long walk/hike. It's an easy hike with small children.

with its winding path heading up the valley, flanked by mountains with farmhouses clinging to the hillsides and belled cows in the fields, this is the scene people typically envision when they think of switzerland.

From Sils at 1800 m above sea level you have to climb approximately 200 m to get to the almost level and scenic Fex valley. The true beauty, however, does begin only south of the Hotel Fex, which is the endpoint for the cars of...More
